Jimmy, what did it set you back in fuel out of interest?
Yeah gb sticker on the list. Car is freshly serviced, new tyres, no rear seats (room for board bag) so in good health. Best stock up on tyre foam!
Well I kinda thought why the hell not.
A checklist of stuff would be awesome if someone has one.
Gonna take a few pillows as padding, as not sure the bimarcos will be comfy enough by themselves

Decided i'm gonna be a little spontaneous seeing as i'm currently unemployed, and tempted to to drive to the alps to spend a week with the other half.
Its a 1400 mile round trip :eek:
Has anyone else ever done anything of this sort of distance before? anything i need to look...
dont have anything at all behind the front seats. no belts, plastics, seats. think i'll move it to the rear seat belt mounts to be on the safe side then. To fit the bits to use standard belts to Bimarcos is a pain in the ass, so think i'll put it through with harnesses.

just wondering where I need to have harnesses mounted to pass an MOT? are there specific points they have to be fitted to? currently they're secure but not sure they'd be classed as road legal

I've had the realisation that this is on the day my other half is due back from her ski season, although that was a ballpark date so hoping she's back before/after so i can come!

Yep it will. i'm purely doing it tp try stuff out. perhaps iusing tinting spray so i still have reflective properties.
Or i could infact be doing something totally different and sending you guys off on a tangent..............
