Thats how i properly knew it was gone, i had a bout an inch of movement by hand, its was very easy to do as well. Also the feel whilst driving, its hard to describe, there wasn't a knocking but a delay between clutch bite and movement of the wheels, it was odd. When i went to change the mounts...
I had an ashley on my 1.2 16v, for the cost (£150 full system) it was well worth it. If you want a good custom system go to prospeed, they will make one up for you and the work is top notch according to alot of members on here.
Chers Mark, let me know how you get on. Currently to get a comfortable grip on the wheel and for the position of my long legs i have to have the seat as far upright as it will go, and im still not as close as id like to be upper body:(
