That does look a good drop.. I was assuming he would have a 1.2 or something as insurance on a 1*2 would be mental at 18.

He said in his opening post that he might not be satisfied with a drop of 60mm on springs.. So then coilovers are his only option and his budget isn't exactly massive so I was giving him an option. Cooksport and eibachs cannot for him what he wants IMO.

This is an 18 year old who just wants to drop his car.. Why pay 600+ for something when you can get them for much less that will do just what he wants. As he said its not a track car so he's hardly going to be doing any serious driving which will require that much spending on a suspension set...

Race land coilovers, ebay item number 350619977390 Perfect for what you want. Got plenty of good reviews on here and I've got them on mine and not had a problem with them.

Coilovers.. I got some raceland ones for £170 ideal for just dropping it really low and they are pretty good for the price.

He quotes get a decent car.. Lets be honest his clio is 7years old or more, he's apparently modified it to explosion point.. The guy is a genuine toss pot.. Tell him to get some pictures o his car and some power run print outs up!

I used to run a set of 17s on my old clio Grandè 1.2 without spigot rings.. Never had a problem fitting them but as soon as you took the bolts out they fell off, never balanced on.. But they looked pimp! :S lol

Happened to mine the other week... Tried to start it about 30 times and it would almost fire then just die... Immobiliser light was on solid.. I read on the Internet, put the key in and turn it to position 2 leave it for a few minutes.. Then don't fire it just remove it. Then place key back...

Yep I agree.. The suspension should be worn in and settled no so soon as I get an hour free il lift it back up a tad.. Not sure how much though.. Probs an inch or so

I'd say for the 170 I paid they are a bargain.. The back is as low as it will go but the front could probably go down twice what it is

Pretty easy to fit, was a bit unsure about the top mounts on the rear struts as in what to use but they went on ;). Hardest part was getting the old struts off the rear.. Bolts were a nightmare.. Yea handling is better, ride is pretty good as well considering how low it is.

Great pictures on there mate, I have no interest/knowledge in photography but you can see the skill that you have out into them shots.. Will be interested in seeing what else you can do.. As I said its not and interest of mine but I think I have an appreciation for a good picture!!
