Had full ice install before I passed my test!
Dont tell the insurance co ;-)
Welcome to the club though mate, Im sure if you ever need anything answered or anything alike you will find it here.
No other place is as good for Clios.
My fox 6 premiers looked the nuts on my black RT (not as good on my blue valver) as they are tinted slightley.
Lower it on some H&R coilovers (or something simular)
Front and rear splitters, suptle skirts, de-badge and de-lock it all, colour code the black strip down the door, light tint...
Cheers mate, I prefer subtleness for my cars - I like other peoples leary cars but like mine to be a little less mad!
Prob cause Id be too worried about it all the time - crashing or thieving bastids!!
What I have done in the last year.
So far, put colour coded handles, coloured phase 2 bump strips, phase 2 rear lights and boot strip, williams spoiler, 17" fox 6 premiers, lowered -35mm, oval piper back box and a de-cat, piper-x induction.
Inside I have ripped out the horrid yellow blue...
Check all the electrics - Windows, wipers, sunroof, central locking, bulbs, mirrors, switches the lot.
Electrics are always playing up on both Clios I have owned. (16v and 1.4rt)
Also check oil level - Valvas go through oil like no other, if its low then they dont know alot about their car...
I did the EXACT same thing, was in my RT, bird infront in a sh/te KIA people carrier started moving, looked round the roundabout and NOTHING was there, I booted it and she stopped!
I said fair enough its my fault as I hit her, I said I didnt wanna lose my NCB and would rather pay for the...
Cut out the recess next to the fog lights then mesh it, take out the black bar under the plate and mesh it. Then put on said splitter from K-Teck.
Wanna do it myself on my blue phase one but too lazy.
Perhaps even have the rub strips removed and smoothed!
Nah its not too bad actually mate - I only have springs though, if you had springs and shox or even coilovers the ride would be alot stiffer.
Had quite a few compliments about how mine handles as well which is suprising as usually 17s murder the art of cornering!
Mine are R5 GTT fitment wheels with spacers on the back so not too sure what to expect if I went lower. Not to mention dont wanna spend ANOTHER £160 getting it lowered again!
Would prob have more problems with lock than rear end rubbing.
Chris - yes they are 205/40/17s and tbh I cant...
Mines on 17s and lowered 35mm - wheels sit comfortably in the rear archs with no rub unless I have two fatties in the back.
Get a little rub on lock at the front.
Would like it lower as the 17s take the over ride hight up a bit but need to be practical as have alot of speed humps and often...
David16v - was the red valver with black turbines at donny yours by any chance - saw it had the carbon bits on the engine and some in the back as well!
I was there on Saturday - not many Clios on the Cliosport section??
Saw some other ones - think the Blue Clio Turbo was there (Is it Nick?)
Any one else go - had a great day and had my photo taken withe the Fast Car girls.
The girls were superb all day !!
Sounds like you done it all properly Mike, was wondering how the mk1 would cope with all that power!
You seem to have time and budget the rest of us can all dream about!
Im well jeleous!
Fcuking hell - 370bhp in a rear wheeler!
Bet thats bordering on TVR levels or rear end slide action??
Is the noise from it not too much?
Wasnt the original Renault plan for the V6 to make it twin turbo or did I read it wrong all those years ago?
Bout 1998 I think the first concept came...
Whos going tonight? where is the car park that your meeting at? and last but not least - will there still be people there at about 7.30 cause I wont be able to get there till any earlier.
NickyB - tried PMing you but your box is full mate.
Looking at a grand alone just for the conversion. Youd need a whole doner car as well. Youd have a few options there, get a fully working road going car that shouldnt have any need for an engine re-build or get a cheaper car thats not in use and have it re-built. Youd be safer going for the...
