I went from 1.2 to 1.6, its a fair bit quicker. I couldnt get cheap insurance on a 172 at the time and the 1.6 was the same price as my old 1.2 so it made sense.

Pegasus engines and transmission in Col behind Rollerworld, they are pretty good there(brother is an apprentice), they do servicing then almost next door to them is an mot centre, so its very local to you:)
Get your mate to order it in if he will, save a couple quid. Also i advise you to fill around the rubber mould with sealant, just to give it a bit more stability as it seemed a bit to flexible to me.
if your engine is the same as mine (K4M) then the upper gearbox/engine mount will cost you just over £90 then you will have to get the lower mount from renault as the 1 on ktecs site does not fit (172 only)
