I was looking at those on ebay last night. Was also thinking of having them painted by them as they seem to have good feedback. Glad someone else has used them though and is happy with them. I would imagine bubling paint is down to the preperation before painting and the actual paint itself
When I'm able to afford one and the insurance, it will be a 182 with cup packs in either Black Gold or Artic Blue with my Turinis refurbed in anthracite. Mmmmm sex wee!
Yeah, how much you reckon I'd be looking at? You know of anywhere in the North West?
I was just thinking about having a little DIY tester on a bootlock or something and if it's any good try some other bits, just to try and reduce the cost of the full colour code that I want!
I used them for drying at the weekend. They were superb, glide over the body guzzling the water and dont leave any water marks! Much better than a chamois.
Where is the best place to buy a can of paint that will match with the car? I see ones in halfords/motorworld etc. Is it likely to get a decent match or not? Can you buy the exact colour from Renault, if so how much would I be looking at?
Mk2 Ph1 Monaco Blue I'm after.
Not rotary, just a hand car polisher. Nothing special, I've a similar one, it just makes polishing easier IMO, pretty similar if not slightly better result than if done by hand so just saves effort etc.
One is bad, can feel it when you run your finger over it. Think it's pretty much down to primer, probably a chips away jobbie but may be worth a go with scratch x first. The other two are fairly light but show up white, think they're fairly much surface though.
Haha yeah! Can imagine. I was thinking of the roof first to get it out of the way, followed by the bonnet the next time. But I think I'd want to try and get the key scratches out on my passenger rear quarter and one on the door. Cúnts.
I'm considering getting some scratch x and doing one pannel every time I wash it and then follow that with the usual SRP and EGP etc. rather than trying to do the whole car at once and since I dont know any "PC'ers"!
Slow and steady wins the race...!
Same, they wern't working at all when I first got it, I thought it was the bulbs but realised it wasn't when I got new bulbs and they still didn't work. Just pull the white connection appart and give them a good clean/scratch with a pin - well thats what I used!
It's easy mate. If I can do it anyone can. Like said a wire brush (like pictured above is needed. I brushed each one for about 10-15 minutes. Be as hard as you like with the brush they are sturdy parts. It all depends how long you have got to do them. If you want them all done in a day (like me)...
Most probably one or both of the two. When mine was the same it was also pulling right. I took it to one of the rip off places (can't remember which for certain, possibly ATS) as I needed a new tyre that day (MOT) and the tracking (includes camber) was about £25-£30 IIRC.
I had a similar problem last Sunday. My nuts/bolts were fecked. I took it down to budget and they drilled or hammerd something over them and drilled them out. Charged me a tenner which I thought reasonable. I then bought some good locking wheel nuts not the shite Renault ones for £20. More...
lol. Thats worse, the one I'm doing is silver. I'm doing it with him though aswel and telling him what to do as we go along so shouldn't be too bad at all. If nothing he can at least do the rinsing and buffing!
Personally I think trying to find a blue that matches/looks good is too hard. Couldn't find one for mine. As for random colours, I think red or yellow will look good on your car. Pics of my paint below (I don't think you can find a decent matching blue, just my opinion of course!) and then what...
