Doh man! sounds crap but I think it will be very hard to find much cheaper. You should have checked it out before.
I have been through your shoes (in a diff way tho)
Bought a valver. Then at 17 got some real quotes which turned out to be more then before on average. Ended up paying 2200...
My clio 16v has leather seats (clio standard optional leather from new)
Anyway my insurance company would want alot to add them on the policy and I dont know what to do. I dont think I have to say as well they were standard on the car from new.
What do you people think?
It has already thrown one at me by having a blown head gasket (637 to repair) and was gone for 4 weeks. Just got it back and since I have got it back its been acting dodge. Taking it back to them on monday. Wont idle properly (cuts out and stalls when applying brakes for junctions) (somtimes)...
;) Sorry just fancied getting a valver as a first car (oh and trust me it was hard to get insurance, Had about 30 people tell me to get lost until I was older. Espically when I said oh and I have mods!)
I have spent basiclly every penny I have on this car and insurance.
Holy crap that seems expensive for a 1.2 (even if it is fully comp) I just paid my car insurance and I am 17 with a modded valver. Oh and not passed yet.
Mods are alloys, lowered, exterior decoritive changes and full exhaust system with de cat.
Paying 2197.20 a year. 3rd party fire and theft...
Finally got my insurance yesterday :D
I am 17 with a valver and learning to drive.
Also mentioned the mods it has (alloys, lowered, exterior decoritive changes and full exhaust system with de cat)
Came to 2197.20 for the year.
Not to bad compared to some insurers wanting 6000+ lol
Bit risky not telling them of the tints is it not?? Insurers will find any excuse to say no to paying btw. I even told them of my mods and I am 17 with a valver (sky high insurance) but didnt want to take the risk.
Would rather pay a few quid here and there then have nothing paid in the event...
Lol yup that has to come into hand "erm yes officer I am an uder cover police man " lol
Thanks for the site but does anyone kno where I can actually get a fire engine horn. Or one as loud and same sound
(Dont want these wail and yelp tone as they are dead iligal.)
Any of you people kno if its hard to get hold of a fire engine horn? Not the siren but just the horn they use a junctions etc. Would love to have one fitted to a car as they are soooo loud. Hehe
Angel eyes for me cos they are new and are easier to install  Quad lights you have to do stuff with indicators which puts me off lol.
Angel eyes are cheaper aswell but thats the main point.
Took the Clio 16v to the garage on Monday to get the head gasket fixed and is looking good so far. :D
The garage has stripped down the engine and got the head skimmed. They also got a bolt on the head replaced as it was letting water in. Atleast the head was not cracked as that would have...
