Heres a 1024x768 version one of my red 172. Ive played around with the colour of the sky as it came out a bit bright but its made the image a little grainy so if anyone can smooth it out a bit that would be good!

Depends how you look at it. To get my 172 I had around £2800 put away so I then got a loan for £6500 which allowed me to get the car and scrape the insurance together. Im in a useful position because I earn around £16.5k and live at home so I can afford to have the repayments fairly high and pay...
Well Im only just 21. No way I can afford a house so instead got a £230/month loan for the next 3 years. Paid the insurance in full. No help from my parents etc. Although I did get a £1k inheritance cheque come through a few weeks ago which has helped a bit.
The cost of the insurance that...
You will need to use the crossovers that came with the speakers. The main issue you will have is getting the speaker cable through to the doors as, to do it properly, you need to drill a couple of holes in the wiring plugs on each door. Once youve done that, you need to tap into the speaker wire...
First time I drove my old RT I just couldnt get on with the clutch. It was so tough compared with the light clutch on my instructors car that I learnt in. Plus it didnt have power steering which was well weird.
On Saturday, when I picked up my 172 it was a fun drive home. The first time I...
Add your mum and dad onto your policy as named drivers if you can (assuming theyve got clean licenses etc) this will bring down your premium. Im 21 and I got my insurance for the 172 through Admiral. Comes to just over a grand with 1 year NCB.
Try bumping up your excess a bit, that will bring your premium down. The 172 is the same ins group as a T5 so you should be able to get near that. btw, where did you get that £1150 quote from? Thats a very good price.
Im aware that Admiral go under many names. My cover is actually with Admiral at the moment but their policy on mods might mean that when this cover runs out, Ill look elsewhere. Has anyone actually tried transfering a 10 month accelerated bonus to a completely different insurer? And where they a...
Has anyone had any experience with these through their insurer? As I understand it, after 10 months you essentially have one years no claims bonus. But will other companies still recognise this as a full years no claims or doea it only apply to the company issuing it?
A full year is about...
A few people on here have had issues when theyve ordered a car through Motorpoint. The general concensus seems to be that if they have the car in stock on site then you should be ok, but they have a way of fobbing off people who have placed orders with them. Just something to be aware of. Its...
CIS have a reputation as being a real b*****d to deal with. If youre paying them money then its fine, if you want to cancel your cover or make a claim etc, its a real ball ache.
The Piper sounds quite boomy over three thousand revs which makes it a bit of a pain once you get to around 70mph or over. Lower than 3k it makes a nice deep noise, it sounds really good on light throttle.
I havent had any issues with the build quality. Although its only been on for around a...
I have one. The sound quality is excellent and its very easy to use. Only problems I have with it are that the display is quite small so its difficult to read track names, also there isnt much in the way of EQ adjustment. Overall tho, Id certainly recommend it for the price.

Glad its not just me who has been told that.Funny that company who are so unbothered my mods are so strick on...
Heres the pics that I promised. Basically just pull apart the connectors in the door and find a spare pin hole in the male connector (This will make a bit more sence once you have the connector off!). Then drill out a hole in each one and run the cable through. Its a pig of a job tbh and if your...
Mate, you can drill holes in the connectors that feed the factory wires into the doors. Ive done this on my RT. Ive got a couple of pics, Ill put them up when I get home cos Im at work at the mo.
Ive got an Apex kit on mine. Cant really complain about it, does its job alright. I dont think thers going to be much difference between the kits in this price region TBH.
I dont know for sure, but its probably a whole new engine. The 1.4 8v will have been carried over form the mk1. Id imagine they made a completely new engine when they made it 16v. May as well drop in at least the 1.6, if not the 2.0.
