pretty much yeah, ive got basically a whole 172 in my shed and i need to get the car repaired before all that stuff goes in :( Thats the thing i was miles off!, he braked i braked and then he just slamed his anchors on full, which i wasnt expecting so i did the same to mine and my abs didnt...

They aint bad i only went for them as they were cheap :o , as im tight lol. Currently on 17's

The engine ive bought was from a 2004 04 reg 172,thats the latest i know of in the 172's

I would not recommend cutting the springs. Lowering ones are only about £40+. Cant believe 2 garages told you that you should just cut your original springs!

No structural damage bar some support thing under my drivers side wing. Crossmember and slam panel are fine strangely :S . Just cosmetic stuff, but it looks bloody awful! :dapprove: Copper questioned me about conditions etc, i said it had recently rained etc. so the roads were damp n stuff...

Ouch! Not as bad as i was expecting, but still looks pretty bad. As long as its only cosmetic parts i would hope that it wont get written off, but if any other parts needs replacing it'll be a write off imo. :dapprove:

Cant you just buy a new bumper ie the same one again and get it modified at the bottom so it wont catch?. As you say it looks ace as it is and going to a normal sport look would spoil the indviduality of it imo.
