oh wow, please do teach me about gear ratios - i did not realise
you seem to overlook me stating the diesel box was along with the other 'negatives'
If a Williams can barely keep up with a heavier 172, the engine must be doing something better, right? - even then i bet the...
yep, round up the williams and round down the 172
now who's nu labour ;)
god knows how mine, with a largely complete interior and a diesel box can keep up with tuned F7Rs in more stripped cars
flan's was a *little* more involved than mine, wouldn't you say?
and also take a look at Whiteleys conversion rate before you start spouting that one off
I also faffed around for a 10% increase in stiffness with the front ARB. oh no wait.
I still can't believe you don't grow weary of being...
I've been uhhming and ahhhing about getting a new front plate
I want standard font with no borders or bottom text or GB thing etc..
the cut down one looks good, shame that you still need a 100mm height plate for the 90mm recess :(
yup
having wired a 172 engine in to a mk1, i can confirm that the oil temperature (and level) circuit does not go near the ecu
mine rev limits at 7500rpm no problems :)
on my old 'crap' megane f4r map, the limiter was controlled by temperature. but if the car was warm and you stalled it and...
sash, what IK are you running, it sounded lush!
is there any chance i could 'borrow' it one lunch time to take it for a spin? - or is it plumbed in pretty well?
my paper filter is a bit dull :dapprove:
i've also got a 1.9D box, but its purely a personal preference for the miles i do
i'm not sure if that car still has that box or not...
mines still quick enough!
sure did :D
14.0 on a stock engine is pretty bloody impressive! (had interior and tools in the boot too if legends are to be believed ;))
the history that I know of is that wayne built it
it's been sold on a few times tbh, i know cliojohn1987 now has is and that 'dancliovalver' had it for a...
oh, and its for sale on clio16valver: http://www.clio16valver.co.uk/board/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=30034
and another thing, he's listed that it has a 182 exhaust manifold. afaik it wont fit... so double check that!
ran a 14.0 iirc
was built by the 172 conversion grand master wayne iirc! :D
i'd say go for it!
I think on that one that half the dials don't work. but we've sorted that now (all of mine work 100%)
