As Jay says I think for something like the driveshaft it's best to go with gen new ones. From memory £180 a side rings a bell and I guess that is either plus vat or trade price. We had a standard one go at Donington and replaced it for a new one then built up the old one as a spare :)

If you are set on trying to save weight then I think the doors and boot are the areas to look at as they are damned heavy even when stripped out! A GRP door is 2900 grams and the boot lid is the same. Carbon will knock another couple of hundred grams off each but doesn't warrant the extra cost...
