I know this sounds stupid but have you checked all the wires make sure they are in the right place and there is no damage i.e. shorting out exposed cores touching etc...

Remeber that you will need to make a small mod to the wiring to get them to work but it is dead easy Ebay is by far the cheapest place to find them these days
