max powers allways double RMS. max power means sod all really. if its under powered from the amp not being strong enough a 300w max will sound tons better.

id say a good quality monoblock for that if theyre parrelled inside as it may over heat a crappy amp. get a 1x600W.

1. check the cabling do u have input going in, it aint in the input part of the stereo is it? theres two types of phono back there input and out. u want out. 2. balanceing off?? also amps (decent ones) have thermal shut offs so if its in a place it cant get air in properly or can get hot...

ive got the old shape ZR1000 which the type R replaced. its a 10" 1000 watt and with a powerful enough amp seriously kicks!! its sat in my bedroom now though as i have a twin 10" jenson in my boot which is bassier!

how much of a filter is a filter if u get what i mean? would a mesh grill at the bottom, with a cottony filter lining behind be sufficient if i removed the filter completely?
