I guess we see things differently. I'd not expect it to pull all that well at those revs in that gear, but that's just me.

So 5th to 6th gear @ under 3k revs & you expect it to pull alright? Fair enough.

See for me, pulling in the wrong gear is driving like a plum. We all know you have to work these engines, theres bugger all down the bottom end anyway. Just change down - problem solved.

A lot of people go on about this flat spot & yeah it is there. But you have to drive like a plum to find it IMO. Mine pulls strong through every gear when driven right & i've got the silencer removed which is 'supposed' to make it worse. When starting it up, let it run for a minute & mine...

Agreed. In terms of how close it is. I love DTM but it's just so F1 these days.

A lot of that is chassis & tyre performance though I meant more as in overall power - speed etc. Maybe I should have made it more clear. They are still only marginally faster than a decent caterham on race rubber, which in my book doesn't make it all that fast for a national championship...

Lines and proper fluid tend to make the car a lot better under braking heavily from my experience.

If you do a lot of spirited driving/track days then you can't go wrong, couples with hoses & some decent fluid you're on to a winner.

My 200 has always done it. I just put it down to no load really being on the engine, I.E. less heat being created. Infact IIRC all the cars I'v owned have lol.

Depends, because the more performance orientated you go the less bite from cold you tend to get. DS2500's are a good fast road pad, DS3000's are mega on track as are CL's Rc5's & 6's.

Love that Mclaren, that radical is a bit of a let down for me, they've not done much with that peach of a motor. Always have loved beefy caterhams.

To be honest, it sounds to me like you're either too aggressive under braking or not braking in a straight line perhaps. Or theres something not right with the car.. Not calling you a sh*t driver, but I've not had much of a problem with the ABS on these clio's before under hard braking.
