1.4 powerhouse, 17" wheels to make it even slower, Peco backbox, sub in the boot, Alpine CD player, loved it:

I'd fit Recaros, maybe partially strip the rear, but carpet it and keep it nice. Most people I know that have stripped and caged their road car have regretted it!
I must say, owning a car like these, it would drive me mad not being able to drive it because of bad weather. It's kind of what they were built for lol.
If your head is close enough to the cage when you're strapped into the seat for headbutting the cage to be a risk, I should think your seat needs moving...
Interesting. I wonder if the Gaz top mounts strain the body somehow.
Has @Pauleds strengthened his top mounts? His car has done a few events ok. If his has survived, it might suggest that the Gaz mounts are an issue.
If it becomes an issue, can't the MSA simply issue CCLBs for more disciplines? Admittedly it could come with a cost but, given that most of these categories don't require much in the way of equipment (or anything in some cases), its effectively just a box-ticking exercise.
As @harvsurrey says...
Not really taking sides I don't think. Just find it odd that people still fall foul of the cat thing when it's been the law since basically forever. People may not like it, but it's something we just have to put up with.
They are going to crack down on this stuff more and more. Like I said, we...
Baffles me that people still get upset about the catalyst thing. It's been very clear for a long time.
The other stuff is interesting. I can see a lot of people having to argue their case. Road rally cars can be all over the place in terms of spec for example.
I'm not surprised that this sort...
Who ran the guide you went on? Have always fancied the idea of trying an escorted one.
I wouldn't mind trying Spain. Corsica is quite high up my list too, as I am definitely a tarmac guy. Monte is on the list as well. I'd probably go to all of them if I could though!
Great pictures! How the WRC isn't more popular baffles me. It makes 99.99% of other motorsport look utterly pansy by comparison. Went to GB last year and the new cars are epic. Like you say, a huge step up from the previous gen machines.
Going to a WRC round abroad is very high up my list, just...
I'm afraid to say that I'm with @Cookie in that I just don't get the 940 thing at all. I drove to Italy in a 740 and Scotland in a 940. Bloody awful things in my view. You've had some lovely motors, but this one I just can't see the appeal in. Same for the BMW though to be honest, as much as...
