Try pulling the plastic off the top of the steering column (just clipped on, not screwed) and re-seat the airbag connection. It worked for me after I dropped something down the gap and nudged it trying to get it out.
Well looked like a Trophy:eek: in the dark but could have been one of those rusty looking ones:D

Re: I Just Got a Emense Deal On A 182
Pretty crap deal is a bit ott really. Its not that bad a deal and the belts don't cost that much (got mine done for under £300). Yes the cup packs would be a bit better but only a bit.
If he is happy then that's the main thing. He certainly didn't get...

Cambelt/Aux belt = £270
Rest of 5 year service next week around £120
Fuel 7000 miles around 1k
FC insurance and full breakdown cover £450

So is that this one then and does it really let you change the tracks via the stereo/remote?

Take it off and go get it then at that price. I drove around for nearly 2 weeks and went about 40-50 miles without a backbox to get mine done. It hurt the ears above 3,000 rpm but worth it!
If your thinking of keeping the car a while then I would get a new stainless job. It was only £250 for my powerflow and its much better in every way. It might save you ££ and bother in the long run!
