Try pulling the plastic off the top of the steering column (just clipped on, not screwed) and re-seat the airbag connection. It worked for me after I dropped something down the gap and nudged it trying to get it out.

Don't see the point in turning it off for road use myself. It hardly ever kicks in unless you don't know how to drive imo.

You can change the sensitivity on the Clio wipers unlike the 406. Still not perfect though.

Take it off and go get it then at that price. I drove around for nearly 2 weeks and went about 40-50 miles without a backbox to get mine done. It hurt the ears above 3,000 rpm but worth it!

If your thinking of keeping the car a while then I would get a new stainless job. It was only £250 for my powerflow and its much better in every way. It might save you ££ and bother in the long run!
