This is bound to have differing opinions but!

You seem like a nice enough, intelligent chap, so I'm going to go with.. HA ! Nice one.. comedy gold. Well done. This is a joke, right ?

    North Weald meet, 28.01.12

There were no blackout curtains though. It's more post-war chic than mid-war-f*ckaboutzeGermansarecoming in there ;)

I'm sorry, how much for a set of 182 Alloys ...?

Actually, I think you'll find the arrows are showing the overspray from the crappy rattle can job. At that price however, I'm considering buying just incase I ever have the misfortune of owning a Clio again.

    North Weald meet, 28.01.12

We're meeting by the cafe thing on site. It's an airfield but not like you know it, but you actually enter 1952 when you go through the gates.

What are you after ? I'm guessing an RS Clio as you're on here ;)

    Info regarding Tax/Insurance

Tax it. Aside from that, trade plates I'm imagine is about the only way ? Obviously you'd need to be a trader... or find a friend who is and get them to drive it for you :)

Finally finished 172 Cup Last pics :(

Maybe I missed something. You spent a fortune making it look standard ?! Also.. your OH already has a car, plus now a new company car... so you had to sell your car ? :S

    My 197 Star Trail....

It's ridiculously easy. Get programmable timer - set for 100 shots - go back indoors. Watch DVD. Go outside, collect camera. StarStax. Upload ! Baaaa..... :o Also in the 'I've taken a photo and I like it' thread which I'm guessing will be the 'I've tried taking some star trails...

    My 197 Star Trail....

Fair enough... try 100 or 200 next time and see how you get on ;) If you've got a lens (go on, what was it .. the cheeky nifty is my guess?) doing f/2.8 you're not exactly worried about getting enough light in.

200 Cup insurance cheaper than my 182 insurance!?

Newer car - better safety - insurance grouping - cost and availability of parts for a 5+ year old car is more than one they're still manufacturing... Plus, when you call them up, they just have one big button on their keyboard labelled "random number generator" and that's the price you get :rasp:

    My 197 Star Trail....

Why the high ISO ? I'd hope no more than a second - if there was much more, you'd see a gap in the trail anyway. Them stars don't 'arf move...!

    My 197 Star Trail....

Interested to see the exif on this one, Scott. Star trails are so easy to do, I love them ! Booshy - you can do it in one hit, but you end up with an over exposed or generally rubbish picture thanks to the immense light pollution in this country. Middle of the desert or top of a mountain...

The "Ive taken a pic and I kinda like it" thread

Not bad Matt... try turning the colour temp down to 2500 / 3000 and see if it looks any better - i.e.: it takes the orangey glow out of the streetlamps. :) I had a go at urban star trailing last night for a work photo competition. Laindon Star Stacking by evil_giraffes_rule, on Flickr...

    Calling in a favour ....

Car sounds jinxed ! Run awaaaaaayyyyy !!! But if you do buy it back, presuming it comes to that, find someone breaking one and do it that way. I'm hoping it's not gone into the side of a bus at 70mph though ?! Genuine Renault parts are hilariously priced. If you end up buying a second hand...

172 Cup Bristol ring road tonight. Last bit of plate CBP

Shudda hit the brakes. Not enough to slow down much but just dazzle them. Get the message, give them the finger and move on !

Am I the only 16 year old on here?

Welcome ! But it's the rules of your first car, right ? It's gotta look sh*t / like a van / a BarryBoys SOTM.

LMAO ! PM Laura. (no, not to tie your shoelaces...)

    172 ph1 iceberg to 182ff?

Nope. Driven a few Ph2's and can't even get close to my old ph1. Drove all the way to Manchester in the OH's old 182 and I could only just see 40 being ridiculously cautious. There's enough MPG threads on CS already. Ph1s are generally high 30s to high 40s, Ph2s are 30-40. Go have a look :P
  24. TheEvilGiraffe

    172 ph1 iceberg to 182ff?

For me - I went from a ph1 (with a years gap to a ph2). I hated the Ph2. Interior was nicer to look at in the ph2, but still did the same job as the ph1. Fuel economy was 10-15mpg worse. Stupid electronic throttle was annoying as hell. Tyres are more expensive and the ride is not as nice as...

    ??

If you fold the back seats down, I should think you might even get 2 in there. Want to be tying them down securely though. Safety first, kids.
  27. TheEvilGiraffe

    Adrian Flux insurance problems !

For a gentle nudge for a reminder etc, OK, acceptable. For something serious, no f**king way. Not on at all. Would you email the cops if someone was breaking into your house ? (OK a tad OTT but similar point)

    Adrian Flux insurance problems !

Why aren't they calling or at the very least writing to the address they have on record ?! Very unprofessional to email with something seemingly serious; i.e.: you might not be covered and have no idea about it. What if you were on holiday or had no access to internet for some reason ? At...
