37 is too small for 1080p especially at 7ft i have a 42" 1080p set at about 8-9 ft

yes you have too much money to waste on a tv that doesnt do everything :)

properly setup, coax and freeview dont go hand in hand at all !! freeview will always be substandard on lcds due to the fact they show the flaws in the very poor feeds the quality of stuff on freeview is shocking

no as for a tv try the tosh 32wlt66 nice tv or a samsung but im not too hot on all their model ranges and there is alot of them !

erm you can lol as some 1080p tv's wont accept 1080p over every input ! some will only allow it via hdmi not component dvi or vga its a fricking dangerous place to be

heloooo :) right there are 3 main hd resolutions 720p 1080i and 1080p your are right in saying the bigger the number the higher the resolution 720p is 1280x720 and 1080i and p are 1920x1080 where it starts to get confusing is the fact that there arnt many native 720p screen out there most...

ta it will upscale via vga from the normal drive too it was another feature in the fall update it seems altho it still wont do it via component down to copyright restrictions enforced by ccs and hd dvd limitation of 1080i is limited by aacs

i agree also and i know i dont know it all. i have done alot of research i have infact been reading up on hd and tv standards etc almost evry day for the last year and a half (sad i know lol) before i actually chose a tv and had it arive i have cancled many tvs before this

meggerman some 1920x1080 panels are only 1080i like the tosh 47wlt66and 43wlt66 and a few others but as i said most are actually 1366x768

actually your wrong almost all lcd and plasmas will decode a 1080i signal and downsample it to 720p or more honestly their native resolution as i dont know of one display that actually has a 720p panel most are 1366x768 lcd that is plasmas use all sorts of resolutions

unless he has spent 5k on a tv then no id imagine he has a 436 of some sort thata not even a hd resolution they use 1024x768 using odd shaped pixels to make it widescreen pixels !! and wont accept a 1080p input

it was updated in the fall update :) as was upscalling of dvd's, it didnt upscale befor but it does now but only via vga

imho yes especially for hd content sd isnt going to set the world on fire but hey ho

erm yes it does and the 360 will only upscale via vga too

doa looks fantastic so does splinter cell pgr3 looks great aswell infact they all do except tdu that doesnt seem to look that good but only played it for 5 mins
