By 20 mins running, do you mean idling from cold in <10degC ambient, or driving...?
OH's dCi100 takes a lightyear to warm up. Coolant flush and new thermostat if it were mine I think...
Drive it harder ;)
Relay I'd think. Immobiliser or fuel pump (or both!?). Replace the lot. They're in a stupid place which collects water.
Renault are normally pretty cheap for these, if not, search for RS-online and try them...
Hi, welcome, etc.
IK / Exhaust will make noise, but see zero or a negative performance gain, let alone a probable increase in your insurance (I'm assuming you're <20).
If you've got no idea what to do, why not do nothing. Put fuel in, drive it.
Not trying to be negative, just most...
Aye. Didn't realise quite by how much though !
Wondering what to do next. Wait til HDDs are cheaper and then replace it, whip it out and replace it now/soon, sell it as is, or sáns HDD, or just set fire to it all and carry on with my evening
How can they tell there is anything inside the pipework though ?
Some de-cats look like normal cats (to me anyway) as they are not just a straight through pipe, there's a bulbus part of them if that makes sense. It may well be hollow but without removing it (about a 14 hour book time job...
Erm, from the DVD I think.. it eventually decided it did need a repair, and then after about 3 attempts, repaired it.
Reset it, after it asked where I wanted to boot from, and it asked me to re-load Lion. Wireless then wouldn't connect and it crashed. Rebooted again, and it went into OS X...
Hokay ..
So, after a month of sitting in a box, iMac 1.0 still refuses to play nice.
Disk utility - verify disk gives me the following issues:
'Invalid directory item count (it should be 32476 instead of 32477)
checking attributes...
blah blah
...the volume iMac HD needs to be...
Best thing I did was a set of matched inlets (on top of s/s exhaust, decat and filter) to release the bottom end of the revs. Before inlets were done, it was gutless under 3k, 3-4.5 was ok, then 5 it took off. After, it pulled freely from 1500RPM.
Forced induction is the only really good way...
I got a £35 one (own branded) from Hellfrauds mainly as it was the same fitment to my lance after moving out of the 'rents place, and it was cheaper than buying a new lance.
It's been fine for the last year :o
Mine does this too. Sometimes up to a minute out of 'sleep', screen comes on but it just sits there frozen.
It's 3 weeks old... I'm just living with it for now as it's not really the worst thing ever. If it gets worse, or I get fed up I'll take it back.
I'm just planning on seeing what happens. If it's heat waves and BBQ weather in Jan, I'll swap back. If it's cold wet and miserable through til March, I'll leave them on.
Not a bad turnout, but WHAT a venue. :dead:
Tyler, sorry I had no idea that was you or I'd have said hi !!
Scrooge, thanks for the veg flavoured fart :quiet:
Luke, nice to meet you at last !
Next time you do a few miles of normal driving, check to see if the discs feel hot. You could have a sticky calliper, but my guess is that could be a lack of brake cooling and hours of hammering around a race track ;)
APRIL FOOOLLSSS..... Oh, wait, what ?
You can't call labour 'adding value' on to a car. If that was the case, every car out there would be an appreciating asset from the day it left the factory.
Another person who has built a track car and never been on track. Unsurprising TBH. How (and...
