Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
Loving the detail your going into on this project and nice to see lots of pics. I hate project blogs that dont have any pics! :-(
Reading this just makes me wanna take my eninge out just for the hell of it! lol.
Must of been a hell of a squeeze without...
Cant see how traction control could have helped her. Does your 172 have ESP? If it was a frontal impact then that would not have helped either.
Sounds like she was going to quick for a corner and breaked as she was going round the corner.
End of the day a car can be fixed just glad your...
4WD would be a major project and would involve chopping and welding the bulk head not to mention sourcing a gear bo and transmission.

I wouldn't call this a poor performance, 130 bhp is still ok. Sounds like it just needs a proper live mapping session. Im sure paul could sort you out with a custom map as aposed to going down the expensive standalone route.
Why dont you try source a Willy head as well? Buy a head and refurb...
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project

Keep the updates up!
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
Brilliant read.
Working on mk1's is a scary experience. Believe me I have been there.
Trick is not to let it get on top of you and just try enjoy the project. One key to a successful project is to make sure you keep an eye on the budget. If you let the budget run...
