On the topic of stripes and white mirrors, Renaultsport actually do a kit to do just that....
http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/roadcars/clioaccessories/
Go to the bottom left of the items on the page......white wingmirror covers and stripes.......lol
You mean my white mirrors?? I took the idea from the colour coding I've seen on some megs before with matching diamond and mirrors....but for me it was alloys and mirrors.......
I'm planning to do my dash lights white at some point! With the dial surround white too (behind the glass)! Yours...
Steering wheel badge? I plan to do the insert white, but not so sure as looking at keeping a column of blue in front of the driving position, ie. steering wheel insert and dash dials surround. May do both these white in future tho with white SMD LED backlight mod in the dials.......
Yeah sounds good at some point.......I'll be at the FCS too if you're going?
I thought about adding stripes, and think they'd look great, but up till now decided I didnt want to croach on RB ground lol. I was thinking a pair of stripes, one narrow and one wider, off centre like the RB ones, in...
+1 on the hairdryer.
Also any glue left behind, use a rag and some WD40, turps or white spirit (just use enough to dampen the rag in a small patch).........glue should come straight off.......and make sure the surface is clean before putting the new ones on.
Sorry, not me fella........Mish's Cup looked similar to this a few months ago.....in fact my yellow badge was one of her creations!! Glad I'm not the only one about with the unique taste in colour coding lol.....
thanks for all your opinions so far guys.....
I like the flash of colour it gives to the front of the car, but I have thought about having a white one. Not a fan of painted black, but might go for a c/f one if I can get hold of one.....
As soon as I get a second one to paint I will! All the...
Just a few pics I took of my Cup yesterday.......would be interested to hear people's feedback!
She's sitting on a new set of Eibach Sportlines, and I've fitted a K-tec polished front strut brace under the bonnet. I've painted the wingmirrors white and done the same to the dash strips and gear...
I had this issue with a K-Tec stealth, the common issue stated above, baffles in centre section had come loose.
When warm it rattled at about 3.5-4k rpm and upwards.......sounded like a can of spanners being shaken. Only happens when warm as the metal expands and therefore gives the internals...
I think if you explained politely that a conversion had been carried out and that the bulbs are indeed sidelights......the wattage rating (5w) is usually printed or stamped on bulbs too which you could unplug and show to the officer to prove the point......I dont see the harm in pointing it out...
Think its named on the Renault computer system as: Renault Clio Sport SPL lighter version........this is from experience of buying parts direct from the dealership......and I have a workshop manual with a subsection outlining the Cup variant's differences to a normal 172 (not a 172 FF for the...
Generally warped discs are from a long periods of heavy braking, when driving really hard on heavily roundabout'ed stretches of road or twisties, or if the pads have become locked on for some reason.
As the discs get too warm and overheat, they expand irregulary and warp under the heat and...
Mine needs a litre-ish top up every 2500-3000 miles or so, generally every 3 months or so......which I keep on top of and normally top it up every 1000 miles to keep it near the top dip stick mark. I change my oil every 6 months too. Magnatec 10W40 in the spring, and 5W40 in the autumn.
I have...
Hence why I wanted to fit factory not HIDs......
I'll start hunting for a pair to fit then and if needed will put back my dual optics come MOT time next February.......may just leave them in when I send it to my friendly MOT station and see whether its a prob....
Will be interesting to hear...
The clue is there. It says:
So you need to find a FULL list of what is covered by BS AU 145d.
Some of the details you have there are missing the references to the details of the company: Name and Postcode that supplied them, and the plate has to be marked with its according BS number (BS AU...
I like your shallow plate Jaffa, fits very neatly indeed! Liking the carbon Diamond too!!!
I spent a lot of time looking for a nice set of plates that were legal, ended up buying from Dubmeister, or actually one of their outlets in Bedford.
They are 100% legal pressed plates, conform to the...
Hmm, seems like a hell of a lot of effort now I think about it, might just do this^ and not fit washers or autoleveling.......what do you guys reckon....worth the risk?
Thanks for all the help btw!
