Are there any confirmed prices for the kit/conversion so far? I'm interested as I'm either selling up and getting something quicker or keeping it and playing with it - I'd rather keep it to be honest hence the interest!

I'm not trying to dismiss what you say but a what £200-300 AV amp cannot be called 'excellent' - even the £2,000 exposure amps I used to own cannot be called 'excellent' good/great for the price maybe but not excellent. Not to mention everything else you have to partner with them.

Beyond lol'age - I'm not even going there. Adequate might be a better word than brilliant.

Apart from mine not always turning the odd piece of equipment off if I don't hold it right mine has been a godsend!

I can think of a million better brands than Wharfdale - I personally don't think they've made a decent set of stereo speakers for decades.

Audio equipment is such a personal thing - if you intend on doing it properly you need to go to your local dealer and start demo'ing equipment at home. I've akways personally been a fan of Royd, Neat and Rega Speakers partnered with Exposure, Rega or Alchemist amps.

Oooft I can't imagine how many pennies you spent on those bits - I used to shed many a tear when I bought new oem stuff for mine!

There are MUCH better options for me personally than these two - I think they're overpriced for what they offer...

Rega RS1's in Piano Black. Awesome speakers and very easy to place - that's if you want new of course.
