Just been quoted this on Moneysupermarket through ESURE. This is for f/comp on '53' plate 172 Cup. I'm 29, had licence for 9 years and have 7 years no claims [minor 3rd party bump 2 years ago, not at fault]. No convictions, medium risk postcode. What sort of figures are you guys and gals paying?;)

Just as a bit of an up-date, went for test-drive and OMFG!!! I have owned a few 'performance' cars previously[172ff and mk 3 vr6 golf], but have always been a bit dissapointed on first test-drive, not with the Cup though, amazing car!! [although I know I'm preaching to the converted anyway]have...

Am test driving a '53 plate Cup tomorrow:) . Have previously had a 172ff, but have never driven a Cup to date. Was wondering if fuel computer was something removed from Cup? Cheers, Aboo......

Missus wont know about panel-filter upgrade chief:evil: I was gonna go for an induction kit, but after research on here, think I'm gonna go for ITG panel with samco hose and CAF. There's a trophy on here with set-up, and appears to be rated highly. Enjoy fella..........

In Tescos the other day, and they sell bags that absorb moisture. Guessing that they're the same as silca gel, but are about 5 times bigger, ideal to put in door pockets or tie under your seat. Think they were about £4 for 4.;)

Am not going to be doing track-days and the like, and probably no more than 6k a year. Heart says Cup to be honest, head says ff........ Going to test drive a Cup Friday, hopefully

Am soon going to be purchasing either a 172 ff [for the 2nd time]or Cup, just can't decide if it is worth sacrificing all toys and comfort of ff in favour of Cup model. If it makes a difference, mods I will be carrying out will be same on either, Maxogen, K-Tec stealth exhaust and RS tuning...

Should have their eyes sewn up for thinking it looks good. Should have their ears cut off for having to listen to those ridiculous exhausts. Finally, the saw-dust which has been happy sitting between their ears for a good few years should be set on fire:evil: WTF is that all about?!?!

Am soon going to be returning to ownership of Clio 172 ff or Cup, am yet undecided as to which 1? Owned a Flame red 172, which I px'ed due to changing jobs for a dirty derv. Just wondering if anyone on here now has ownership of this motor? Cheers Kev....;)

Have any Cup owners out there got the induction kit fitted which is shown on the Hill Power website? If so,are you happy with it? A mate is looking at purchasing........

On a similar note, have seen the 2 stages of upgrade available at K-TEC. Stage 1,with ktr exhaust and itg panel filter and a claim of 6 bhp. Stage 2,with ktr exhaust,viper,group n remap and a claim of 12bhp. Am tempted to go with Stage 1 and remap,as want to stick with panel filter. Anyone had...
