Hello! Looking to get into Renaultsport ownership

Well done - and I'm glad you stuck with the winning colour of white! That's some garage of cars you now have! :)

The perfect gift for the guy who has everything

"Delivery can be negotiated at buyer's cost to UK mainland" I'd request it to be delivered by EVRI and see if those knuckle-draggers could try throwing that over the fence. The delivery image should make it clear enough though...

Power Steering (Should it have it?)

Cars without power steering. I remember those days! :)

    My New Monaro Mk2

Yes - excellent purchase! Reckon this one will see Easter in your ownership??

    Handheld consoles

Might do that with my Vita? I hacked my PSP back in the day with the Pandora battery. The best thing about that was to divert reliance away from those bloody UMD discs that were so noisy and which drank the battery life of the PSP.

    Handheld consoles

The Steam Deck is where it's at. A surprising number of AAA titles can be supported natively on it and even then, you can use the grunt of your main PC to stream to it, if needs be. After the failure of the Steam controller it's good to see Valve back a worthwhile piece of hardware. And for it...

How distracting are touchscreens in cars

Bit of a thread bump - I was forwarded the link below to a Swedish article that compared actual buttons to touchscreens in several cars. Makes for interesting reading - in particular with how well the elderly Volvo V70 performed in comparison to much newer cars...

    Newbie from Pamplona

Welcome aboard, Jorge. Sounds like you've had a varied history of decent cars?! :)

    Finally bought 1!!

Nice Clio. However, you are clearly a man of discerning taste by having Ralliart flaps on that Evo. And Scotia White too? Therefore, bonus points awarded....

    Cyberpunk 2077

cdkeys is THE place to always check, before I nab anything on Steam. I'd say perhaps only a quarter of the time, Steam itself is cheaper. At other times, Steam can be almost full retailing a game's price and cdkeys will be something daft like £8.99. Worth creating an Epic Games account and...

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PC, XBOX ONE, PS4)

Warframe is fine with K&M mate - I never have to use the pad other than using Kahl's jetpack. It just doesn't work properly in K&M! :)

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

Not yet. I've mainly bought this for racing - though I have heard a lot of good reviews about Alyx.

    Its a bit cold!

I'm so used to the temperature lies that my 182 says - that numbers like this don't bother me :p It's 7 degrees out when it gets cold, but to be fair, it dropped to -17C at one point - so circa -9/-10C in reality.

Proud new owner of a 197 RS looking for any advice

Welcome aboard :) It sounds like you're already planning some sensible and worthwhile mods already. Other than those, I'd highly recommend a fresh change of the gearbox oil, if there is no evidence of this having been done recently. It transformed the slushbox gearchange on mine originally.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PC, XBOX ONE, PS4)

That was part of the reason why I shelved it initially. I couldn't gel with the gamepad at all and it didn't really work with K&M either. It had the pros and cons of each control method without really making the most of either, imo. I forced myself with the original Batman - Arkham Asylum to...

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PC, XBOX ONE, PS4)

The next gen patch (4.0?) has now been released. Looks to be circa 45GB on Steam.

Not completed ME4 yet - but personally, I think ME2 was the best of the titles.

    PC Cleaning

Air compressors - definitely. Luckily, I've got access to about a dozen of them on the shop-floor at work, so I just bring my PC in a couple of times of year to blast it out. Cans of compressed air are a waste of money IMO - unless it's a dire emergency. Do not use hoovers - especially if the...

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PC, XBOX ONE, PS4)

Glad I hung back with W3 - barely got anywhere with it. Will definitely be giving it a go over the Christmas holidays with the next-gen upgrade.

New Clio member with injector issue

I wouldn't recommend driving it much if you've got an injector issue. Fuel starvation into a cylinder is never a good thing. My 182 sounded like a Scooby when No.3 injector started acting up. I got that one replaced and the remaining three a week or so later. They were OEM to the car and had...

    Assetto Corsa modding (PC)

Not tried AC yet, but was very impressed just with Automobilista 2 with a first-gen VIVE. Has anyone gone from one of those to a VIVE Pro 2? I assume that its a quantum leap in terms of definition with the resolution hike?

    Assetto Corsa modding (PC)

Chaps - managed to blow the dust off and borrow an original Vive headset for having a dabble with - mainly on racing games. Are there any recommendations and/or settings that I should apply within Content Manager for purposes of VR?

    JDM Imports - Canada

I'd just be struggling to let any of them go, tbh - even the practical minivan options. Surely you can just start to utilise the neighbour's driveway as well? :P

    Happy 40th

Rookie numbers, but impressive to manage about 2k per year! :P North of 170k myself, though it's massively slowed down for me these last few years due to working from home. Had the MOT this week and it's barely nudged 5k since the last MOT. And the one before that was about 4.5k.

Halfords Advanced 2 ton low profile trolley jack

Bought one of these today, having been after a low jack for a while. Surprisingly, the Halfords website offered free delivery on it. I thought the delivery charge would have been fairly hefty, given its weight.
