    172 Servicing costs

Seems to be about £170 in the affluent south, maybe 20 quid less in the scummy north and midlands, and I think one guy from Australia said A$350.

Dont be daft owly, anyone can see that it gives 25bhp and oodles more torque, also makes you more attractive to the opposite sex ;) Actually mine has made a difference to the back of the car, not sure what yet - need to get it on a track, but a Clio at the rear is just a big box, with nothing...

    No front ones either!!

The k-tek brace is cleverly designed. At the ends of the brace are cup-shaped parts which slide over the top of the suspension turrets. They fit really snugly. So while the top bolts secure the brace its also the turrets that take the lateral forces.

FS - yes I clean inside the exhaust - I am a stickler for personal hygiene ;) Tim - Mine squeaked like hell - drove me crazy after a while. So I removed it and wrapped the tops of the suspension turrets in some of that tough fabric tape - just enough to make the Strut Brace fit nice and snug...

    HELP NEEDED!!! (Underpowered 172)

Might be an idea to get a rolling road printout if Renault cant help. A healthy 172 should be making around 150bhp at the wheels.

Who saw the silver 172 at the Monaco GP

Looked very low and the front grille was different.

    Magnx OR Viper

Youll have no problems at all, in fact Roamer had a Viper and Zorst fitted before Christmas and he reported an IMPROVEMENT in his MPG. A Superchip with a custom map will sort out your fuelling if you want to get the Viper - the trouble is they (Vipers) work a bit too well and the engine can run...

    Magnx OR Viper

Dont think they do - If youre getting a Viper youll need to get your fuelling sorted out though. A Magnex wont make any difference to your MPG.

    Buying 172

As far as I am aware Cups are outselling 172s at the moment - youd expect that with the price difference. Decide whats important to YOU then decide which car to get. Doesnt matter what anyone else thinks - theyre both great and whichever you buy youll love it.

Check my Clio web site please

Reports a script error on the opening page - but with no ill-effects (may be something to do with the Geocities pop-up). Not sure about the [next] [home] thing on the end of each page - maybe a sidebar menu would be a bit better? Nice pics though, and a good bit of text with no spelling or...
