Take it back and ask them to fix the problem, not just fob u off with we cleared the fault codes. As them what the problem actually is? What fault codes they cleared, and if any codes have reappeared! This will let you diagnose and fix the fault!
Pete, did you try tightening the mounts? I had the same problem and just tightened the bolts. It's all ok now! As for fitting, it isn't that hard, jus need to make sure u support the gear box! I'll fit them for you if you need?
If it's throwing up a lambda fault i'd say its either the lambda sensor or the cat. I took a blow torch to the inners of my cat on my 98 1.2 8v clio after it ran outa petrol and ballsed up the cat! Never had a problem with it after and always passed emmissions. Have u a mate with the same car...
Take the cat out, blowtorch the insides outa it and put it back in! That way to the mot guys u have a cat and u will pass emmissions! Is the car running ok?
The guy over here tried to fail me for my xenon headlight not switchin on! This was after he flicked the lights off and on several times and nearly fried the ballast!
Do you not find with a rotary u can add swirls very easily? Esp on black/dark colours! My PC was a pile of pish! As said I much prefer the DA as it does the same job and doesn't vibrate as much so leaves a better finish!
You need a rotary to remove deep scratches in the paint, the PC is no good for anything more than surface scratches. I never use mine anymore, much better using the DA on the air line as the pc vibrates far too much and spoils the final finish!
After a lot of persuasion with the welder and the grinder mine now fit's perfectly! Lol! I'm thinking of applying for a job with magnex to show them how it should be done!
Really, I've always been told it's better to keep the oil level a little low than have too much and risk it blowing out under pressure. 5w50 is probably ok but the book says 5w40? And I think the engine manufacturer should know what oil to use in their engine?
