Looks like some (I'm going to say 4 as there's 4 dots) of the shots were pointing in a slightly different angle. Hope you didn't touch the camera during this shoot ? :rasp:
what do you mean not as hoped for ?
these aren't 700hp F1 cars .. they are 2 litre n/a'd french girls cars which make about 160-165 at the fly normally, if standard.
if it's really slow, perhaps the cambelt has been done recently ? if so, who by ? was it timed properly with the right tools ?!
Think that floodlight is hindering you somewhat there ... other than that, not bad at all !!!
The white bits in the sky are the star trails haha.. leave them in ! ;)
Probably down to the geometry at full lock ?
If nothing else feels untoward, and as suggested is 'normal' with these surrender-monkey boxes, worry not.
MOT should pick up any loose things in the suspension anyway.
^ OP - It will work out the average since you last reset it. If you've done 200 miles at 50mph following a truck along a motorway, then the next day's 3 miles were nose to tail rush hour traffic to work, the mpg will still predominantly be reading high as the 200 miles will be the average still...
Fill tank to the brim, reset all counters.
Drive .. doesn't matter if you do 10 or 400 miles, then fill to the brim again.
1 Imperial gallon = 4.54609188 litres
Litres put in / 4.546 = Gallons.
Gallons / trip milage = MPG
Simplez ..
Best I saw in 50-60mph traffic over about...
Go to shutter priority or manual mode, keep turning the speed down, it'll go fractions, seconds, then 5 10 15 20 30 bulb. Something like that anyway.
What camera have you got?
Ly182 - examples needed with exif data to help ;)
They are 17's .. says so on the tyre in the pic :rasp: [Ditchfinders? No wonder you got stuck in the snow ;)]
15s or 16s will make it feel much better. 17s on clios just tramline to hell :(
Other than that ... looks smart ! Shame on you taking it to someone to get washed though haha
OP - Examples needed.
Are you taking night shots without a tripod ? Are you shaking with the cold ? Do you need a flash ? By action are you talking F1 cars or some dogging down the local layby ?
ar90..: You need to learn about panning. You follow the car, so it's like taking a picture of...
Doesn't really make any sense to me... but then I'm not female. Women's logic and all that. :S I'll ask the other half if she can explain it to me.
What were the other ones you could have chosen ?
Better off stacking images, esp. with the full moon (and the camera pointing away obviously ;) )
30 mins is waaaay too long with the moon as it is now. My 17min on tues was like a bright sunny day haha !
Take numerous 30s/1min/5min/10min exposures.... throw them at photoshop and glue them...
Why ? Are you planning on taking the beast on track ? Or has yours melted already ?
Will look ridiculous in a standard 1.2 IMO :S
Each to their own .. but .. why .....?
Inlet mods I'd recommend are the matched inlets - Someone's doing a group buy at the moment. Much more poke mid range, better MPGs and a much better freed up rev range from my experience.
V6/Ph1 airboxes are generally suggested as the best (there have been many studies (search ;-) )) but...
VICTORIA !
I knew Essex girls were dirty .. but come on. There's just some things you dont openly admit to on public forums.
Poll ?
Hurry up back from Paris and organise something already :rasp:
(A meet, obviously, not some degraded curling out session.)
Welcome from Essex (Billericay). If you can't make the MASSIVE meet of the decade on Saturday, fear not. I'm going to start PMing VickyX (local area rep) daily to get her kicking off the regular meets round here.
Did you choose the wheels, or were they on it when you bought it ?
Not going...
I think this is in the top 3 of all time great photos I've taken:
Moon catapult by evil_giraffes_rule, on Flickr
Straight off the sensor - zero processing / cropping etc.
Hope you're not going to do a 120 mile round trip for him to clip the airbox on correctly ?? You don't need a degree in mechanical engineering to do that yourself.
