I had the same thing happen.
It was all to do with did the car roll out the factory with this exhaust on it? No.
Does it have a kite marked stamped on it? No
Then it's illegal. Didn't get a fine though, just a vehicle defect form. Got someone I know to stamp it for me, and off on my way.
For...
Honestly mate, if its not an easy fix, take it to apple. I don't think you need to replicate it? I haven't when iv had intermittent fault with my iPad and phone
You clearly haven't appreciated this place for what it is.
Not only have I got some great tech help/bargains, but iv also had amazing advice on careers, money, Romanian neighbours, fraud and god knows what else.
He's talking about the car he did the Cambelt him self on (done belt, had slightly bent valve, now tappets are fucked), he mentioned it earlier on in the thread. Nothing to do with OP
LOL there must be some serious bells on this forum, either that or I'm a mug. Whenever someone has given me a price iv just paid it and not even questioned it, within reason.
Lukey, if your still reading this, send me a list (lol) of what you've roughly got left. There is a ton of stuff I need...
If what your saying is correct Mike (and all info supplied is correct), then surely it's up to the garage to replace the engine/fix the engine? As it was their timing that destroyed it.
Like I said presuming all is correct.
Sorry to hear about that OP! Last thing you wana hear I suspect
Apple shops? (Presuming you tried)
I thought they would of sold out, turns out they where having pretty much daily deliveries of them, and where hardly put of stock
I was looking at these the other day, f**k me I was tempted. Saw one with flappy paddle gearbox, and two-tone, was "waiting prep" though so no price :(
I'm gonna go have to find some local farmers me thinks! Gonna be embarrassing knocking on their doors though haha! But no farmer can turn down £600 cash in hand every month I suppose.
Me and a mate are seriously thinking about doing this, we need space to work on our cars. Thinking about trying to see if any local farmers want to hire us aN unused barn for £200 -£300 a month, cash in hand.
Anyone ever done anything similar?
That's the problem my mates having, he bought a 5 last month and its having lock button problems, but if the 3 month thing is true, it could be useless.
Don't take what I'm saying for gospel, this is what they said to my mate when he took his broken 4 in last year.
As dan said, book a genius appointment (not always needed, but anytime iv gone iv needed one), tell them what's wrong, if its intermittent tell them that. They will run tests on it, and will swap it for a new one with 3 months warranty.
