Not sure it will be that extreme, the Williams was so much more popular of the Valver due to the engine, had they both had the same lump a Valver and Williams void would have not been so great.
The Porter Cable, UDM and the new Megs machines are all random orbital polishers, they spin and oscillate to make them less likely to do damage to the paint as if you bear down hard on them they will bog down and slow. The later two are both said to be redesigned to improve on the P.C.

The EGP wont set up and bond properly unless you let it cure ie if you top it with wax to early. May as well have just gone SRP to Wax and skipped the EGP.
Process looks fine - I would do the SRP after the Menzerna as it will ensure the surface is spot on for the EGP to bond.
Even on minor swirls on hard Audi Clearcoat you may need IP and a Cutting pad !
Saw your thread, pretty manic leasing up to Xmas as it is, without any dates being thrown around hard to know. JDR is not that great, heard the one Avonmouth (with the flyover?) is good, going there soon with the Pug lot.
