A 172 ph2 on sportlines is better/worse/same as a cup packed 182? Just curious what these springs do to the car - drove a 182 with cup packs before the 172 but in different days, didn't really notice a huge difference but I would have loved to have chased one in the other down my favourite test...

I know what you mean, I've saved that many iceberg turini pictures I need a new hard drive! I think after the williams the 172 will never look as good as the 172, wierdly the more I look at the 172 wheels the more I love them, they work really well on the silver, the car looks so fresh to me...

I think its spot on as it is! I'd deffo get the wheels redone silver - or be a daredevil and fit some 172 ph2 alloys to cause a stir ;)

Sound like a bargain! I'd be interested to hear a more long term review of them. one thing I love coming from the mk1s is the nice comfy ride with the 172, just doesn't handle as well as the willy did though, was considering some coilovers at standardish height to help this but don't want to...

Bought my willy modified and it became such a better car the more standard it went! Keeping the 172 as it is apart from adding a few extra horses under the bonnet :)
