fred are u putting you 1.2 on the RR? tell me the results, surely you wont get much from such a small/new engine!
guy at my uni put his mini on(old) and he got an extra 10bhp hehe
if your getting a sub dont get 6x9s, they just dont go together!
however if you aint a big fan of bass, i have my fronts and 6x9s amped and its a very clear and nice sound
well its been done over three days but i finally got it finished tonight:)
its sounding quite good and looks very neat with the false floor. quite impressed:)
dont need to remove them mate, i fitetd my amp at the weekend, you can get the cables up both sides and tuck them under the plastic at the sides, there are some bits that can be quite tricky...buts its very do-able
dont like them, i actually turned down a free sunstrip when getting my windows tinted...never have liked them..never will:(
but its the same with every modification...different strokes for different folks!
yeah if you can take your carpet out its a good template, the clio carpet only covers the square bit in the middle really. misses the curved edges so i just made a template from scrap and made lots of adjustments:) quite satisfying now its done.
btw tom I just checked, my floor dosent cover...
na i cut a bit of timber into 4 bits, and nailed them to the four corners of the mdf floor. so it sits perfect in my boot and it covers that plastic bit.
was looking in my dads civic boot, making a false floor for it would have been so much easier...why did the clio have to have such an odd...
spent a good 4 hours building my false floor today...clio boot is a killer aint it.
Made a test out of scrap wood, got a good fit then made the proper one out of 15mm MDF. then carpeted and it fits nicely..and i suppose its time to start the amp installation:(
