Prewious owners haven't been listed on the log book for a while now though.
Who was it who bought a yellow edc that had gearbox issues and he swapped it for a red one 🤔.
Still chasing the knock I decided to swap out the pms top mounts to check the bearings. A nice and easy job to whip the B14's off and swap the mounts to standard renault items that I had in my stash.
The pms bearings were fine but the rubber mounts will add a little bit of much needed...
I'm sure @PhillipM said his supplier shut and he was tweaking the design for new material. That was a while back though. If you ant get one I'd go with an evol engineering one. I've run both and couldn't tell the difference.
Well I definitely can't hide the knocking. It happens more when I'm on and off the throttle. I need to pull the dampers off and check them anyway as its doing my head in. Any info on the SKF sealed bearings? I've got the new style pms top mounts.
I reckon that's the knocking I currently have. It's certainly making me cringe. The roads around here are so bad I'm considering going back to oem mounts as I doubt the pms bearings will last 4k again.
Holy sheet the Max Power days were mental and bringing a little bit of it back with loud paint and lambo doors won't hurt anyone. Great to see you're still working on the car, any idea when it'll be on th Road? CSF maybe?
My replacement ones were sloppy as fook. Maybe because I de-rusted the hubs too. The old ones came out in a similar fashion though, t**t of a job to do.
That's an auto express interpretation of what it'll look like so don't get all excited over those pics.
Apparently the 5 will not get AWD so yeah the more powerful megane will probably be quicker and with AWD and torque vectoring it'll probably corner better too. Renaultsport would never have...
LY tax at its best but this one has just popped up very close so I might go for a test drive as I've never driven one.

I sorted mine when it was in bits by riveting on a piece of plate and shaping it to the oe bolt. It's ridiculous how flimsy the ecu mount is and I can see them snapping at the bottom in a few years as the rust eats through them.
I had to wash the twingo today so thought I'd give the broken gold a rinse too. Didn't come up too badly considering it's had 2 washes in the last 12 months.
