    Phone Screen Replacement

iSmash is £199 and would have the non genuine messages popping up I think I've found someone local (and recommended) who will do the same repair as Birmingham but it's £150, tempted to just do that. I've also been offered £300 for it now as it is, but a 16 pro is £1100 and it won't be any...

    Phone Screen Replacement

Shouldn't be detectable by Apple as it's just the glass in front which is changed! I'm too scared of prison to commit some light fraud, plus my bank doesn't offer it 🤣

    Phone Screen Replacement

Dropped my phone this morning, cracked the front, really pissed off. It's only cracked the glass, the screen under it is fine. It's an iPhone 14 Pro, which turns out has a super expensive screen, £350 from Apple and outside of apple you'll get potentially a bad screen and annoying messages...

Will Blurays and DVDs make a comeback.

I remember as a kid in the late 90s and early 00s going to virgin megastores and buying a load of VHS stuff, movies, loads of simpsons tapes etc every year with the birthday and xmas money, always about a tenner each. I also vividly remember just a few years later, maybe around 2007, my dad...

Will Blurays and DVDs make a comeback.

I've been watching a few videos on this recently, I'm a bit sick of how thinly spread content is now across streaming services and have considered dumping all of them and TV in favour of just buying DVD and BluRay when I want to watch something. You'd probably end up watching way better quality...

    Sky Cancellation

Mine which I did earlier this year is £85 for all the TV (except cinema, kids and multiscreen) and the fibre broadband (fttc as I can't get fibre to prem). Cinema is only an extra £6 on a recent offer they sent me too, but I don't think it's even worth that 😂

    check emission light

If you have a code reader yourself, and can diagnose the problem, identify and purchase any required parts and then fit them properly then no, you don't need a trip to a garage. HTH 👍

Is the little M12 Milwaukee blower any good as a leaf blower, or just too weedy?

    Forza Motorsport 8

Jumped back in to completing single player tonight, stopped because I had a load of US muscle to complete, just grinding through it now. It's annoying how the AI seem to start with warm tyres, every lap 1 I'm bambi on ice and they have grip.

The Gaming Thread (General Gaming Jibba Jabba)

I really enjoyed it, a bit different with controlling of two characters at once. I was the same, I bought it at the start of the year (actually bought it twice as forgot I'd got it on Xbox in Jan and then bought it again on Switch in March 🤣).

The Gaming Thread (General Gaming Jibba Jabba)

Played through Brothers A tale of two sons the last couple of evenings, bought ages ago in a sale (they've since remastered it it seems) but only got around to it now winter is back and the evenings are dark and boring. Brilliant little game, wasn't prepared for the ending 😢

    Microsoft Game Pass Ultimate

I did the points thing, got enough for 2 years of GP and topped up to 3 when I renewed last time. Then I gave up, became a chore and I just hated doing it. I'm sure I'll regret that come renewal 🤣

    Autocar Archive

Has anyone been looking at this, it's free for a few days and goes back to the 1800s which is pretty mental! Im enjoying looking at some of the old adverts, even job adverts, in them. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/from-the-archive/enjoy-free-access-autocar-archive

    The new TV thread

Not looked this year but the guy seems to have stopped doing them. I think general consensus is still best bang for buck is an LG Oled C series. They do smaller ones now too.

    Microsoft Game Pass Ultimate

I'd recommend going for game pass unlimited. What I posted in the original thread still works but the ratio has changed so if you buy 3 years of gold (or iirc core is the same thing) it will convert to 2 years of unlimited now rather than 3 years like it used to. Still a cracking deal, he can...

    CR2020 Keyfob Battery

    Cheapest Cliosport You Have Bought

With the fog brake ducts? I sold that on after 6 months for what I paid for it minus the tax so I don't feel too hard done by 🤣 It had had a cage in at some point, the carpet was cut and there were mounts or holes for a cage iirc. Tbf it was a lovely car that.

    Portable Laptop for Video Editing

Looking for recommendations on a laptop for video editing. I'm doing some bike packing at the end of the year and would like a small laptop powerful enough to do a bit of light editing (1080p in resolve) on the go. Budget is max of £500, as it could well get trashed so wouldn't want to lose...

    Cheapest Cliosport You Have Bought

It was cheap even at the time, but some of the other posts here have similar levels of depreciation so not that uncommon. Now we have that 11 year old R56 in the classifieds for £8k, and that looks a lovely buy. It's just not as easy as it once was to buy a good newish car, mainly because...

    Cheapest Cliosport You Have Bought

Will also add this. Not my cheapest, but I bought my RB 182 when it was 4.5 years old for £3900, imagine being able to buy a sub 5 year old hot hatch for that now, mad.

    Cheapest Cliosport You Have Bought

£650 in 2012 for this cup. It was broken when I bought it, got it recovered home, new TDC sensor and worked perfect for a few weeks. Then just wouldn't start. Ended up selling it to @Daniel for £750 and iirc the issue was a corroded fusebox in the end. It was fast though, I think Dan also said...
