Just got my renewal from Elephant for the 1.4 and they are about £100 cheaper than any other company I've tried tonight. They are also £250 cheaper than Greenlight for a CTR!

Yep the Alize is based on a 1.4 RT The 8v didn't come with colour coded mirrors altho the 16v did The Alize came with AC (mine also has a sunroof :S lol) NO alarm other standard equipment was remote central locking, radio cassette, front fog lights, electric front windows, ABS, colour coded...

I can see the point that people shouldn't have to double check their bonnets are closed, but it doesn't take a lot of time to do that. Renault are still fannies for not looking into this issue tho

As I've said many times on here both the CTR and 172/182 are great cars for what they are. Still, the CTR wins it for me lol

and 1.4 8v is nippy in town as said. will do up to 100mph comfortably on the private runway but runs out of puff usually about 110mph. Perfectly adequate tho!

early Alizes were 1.4 8v like mine. I think 1.4 16v variants came in early summer 2000

and 182s and the like are so better?!

should've got a CTR ;) I was always planning to get a RS after my 1.4 Clio but after certain issues arose decided to go Jap instead. Will keep the 1.4 alongside for a while
