So, the opportunity came along to support my nephew in his first 'official' rally event, alongside the more established WRC event and drivers. The plan involved a run down to pickup the recce car near Oxford on the 15th May - get it on the trailer, and then continue down to Portsmouth for the...
I love that one - though I dread to think how you'd get some ample speed in it with a pad. The pedals just allow you to feed the power in progressively - and the turbo laaaaag is strangely addictive.
The Sierra has been The Beast for me so far - I really need to treat that with kid gloves.
Have you got over your initial doubts with this now, Andy?
What capture software did you use? nVidia Shadowplay and then spliced them together with something else?
Looks good - I like the proportion of the wheels in the arches too. They would however look nicer in a different colour like you say - it would enhance the profile view no end.
Love the de-badged boot - nice touch that.
Yep - another shout for Dropbox here.
As Jay_A says as well - for additional peace of mind (though I doubt he'll need it) is to buy a simple NAS box and back it up to there as well.
The only potential downside to that is with the increased speed of saving it locally - as well as the speed in...
Oh, hello Cadwell Park. You're a twisty, little technical sod, aren't you?!
First time on there last night - picking the Zonda R was probably not the wisest choice however. That's definitely one track I want to learn - looks good fun.
Oulton is my favourite - though I'm biased as its the most local to me and one I've visited many times. Lodge Corner is a tricky one to get right - but easier than Redgate at Donny, imo.
It does transform it m8 - and it's one additional aspect that favours the PC platform. As most people tend...
The corner that's always biting me back with the Clio Cup is Redgate at Donington - the first corner at the end of the pit straight.
It's the exit that I have trouble with - literally fighting the car not to drift wide, or trundling out of it far too slowly. Once out of there - I can easily...
Very smooth m8!
That clip just highlights how boring Silverstone is compared to other UK circuits, imo. Very flat, very open - not a patch on other tracks like Oulton, Donington, Brands etc. Not that I've actually been on track there, but even as a spectator - it feels very clinical and soulless.
Had a few rounds last night - including starting my career in the Clio Cup.
I'm falling in love with that Lotus Renault 98T - talk about BOOOOOOOST! Found it strangely controllable on the 'Ring when I thought it would be an utter beast. Respect the Go Pedal and it handles pretty well.
I have...
Hi Paris - and welcome!
There are few guides on here that might help you with the headlight issue?

Go back and read the gt5 comments. So many shared problems. But gt was less buggy.
To be fair - GT should be less buggy - given that it runs on a single platform - as does Forza.
The scale of Project Cars and the fact that it's running on multiple platforms (including the WiiU - whateverTF...
Totally agree. I had a couple of minutes on the keyboard and also the 360 controller - and both were useless. Stuck the G25 on there and game is transformed - as others, it's the closest driving experience I've had on the PC to the 'ol classic Simbin games.
Its such a rewarding game to play -...
Cheers for all the comments guys - I guess it's one of those things that I haven't got the technique or the patience or both to sort out! :P
Dan - that's a really good offer - thanks for that. I might even take you up on it! :)
Well, I've had my 2nd attempt using the 3M Headlight Restoration Kit and I must admit that the results have left me underwhelmed.
I think it doesn't help with the difficulty of using the kit with the headlights in-situ. The drill is constantly being fought against - forever wanting to drag a...
Here's a couple all captured at 720p on the PC using nVidia's Shadowplay feature.
Call of Juarez : Gunslinger - not bad at all for £2.99!
Bit of Warframe - using the Nekros warframe against the Corpus
Clio Cup self-fail on Project Cars - into 1st you go....... BOOM!
Focus RS all over...
That still seems quite small though? The PC version is a 15GB download through Steam - then no doubt there will be a patch. And that's not installed. I suspect it will surpass 20GB when that happens.
I can understand a few hundred MB difference - even a GB or two. But to be less than a third of...
Great thread - loved it so far. So jealous of your engine bay! I wish I had a place to drop the engine and clean it up myself, though I presume I would be breaking several underground parking laws!
Yep - the lack of blue spray in the interior would bug me too. Also, your headlights need...
Good thread!
I might try and get something uploaded with ShadowPlay today. I'm dropping the recording spec to 720p at the absolute best as my slow broadband will take an age to upload anything bigger.
