I finally got my scenic shifter and phase 1 knob fitted in January, after having them sat about for a year or two! It's comfortable to use but finishing work at 4am it's fekkin freezing?.
I wondered if you'd be the mate. What car did you take?
All that popping and banging sounded like a fireworks display! Bloody mental. That narrow bit of tarmac is quite bumpy at speed so I'm not surprised an M4 struggled?. Was it him that hit a sheep?
Not really heard of any complaints about ED boosted clios. Only problem is a boosted Clio isn't an NA Clio and it seems people don't like that and sell up quick. Buy one already done and keep yours if you can until you make your mind up which is best.
Yeah the new entrance didn't go to plan I don't think. We were in early and it only took 45 mins from the outskirts of the grounds.
The Countach's were both fake btw.
Welcome back to Clio ownership. Sounds like you've already had an interesting journey! Get yourself to CSF. https://www.cliosport.net/threads/cliosport-festival-2019-book-tickets-now.822279/
I'm not gonna cheat and post pics from today's cars in the park, but on my way there this morning going on the opposite direction I saw an Escort cosworth, Impraza turbo and a Lancia Stratos!
Shame it couldn't be finished but I suppose having it in someone's hands who is capable of doing it but still hearing about problems is understandably enough to tip you over the edge. Chuck a standard engine in and go kick it's head in??.
In other news, my daughter passed her driving test at the first attempt before Easter so the little 1.2 is piling on the miles now. It's nearly hit 40k!
Cheers. It passes the ten foot exam, get closer and it's a different story. Just gotta remind myself it's 14 years old and nearly 110k traveled so worthy of a few scars?. Nice to have it shiny for a few minutes though.
The standard screen in the Meg is a small landscape type one, the larger portrait one like @Ricardos has is an option.
Definatly do plenty of test drives, you don't want to spunk that sort of money on the wrong car!
I like the new Meg, there's 2 different screens in them you know. 140i is a good shout but they ugly as f! I'd go GTI over R in the golf, again for looks mainly. But for the money the hyundai is a bargain compared to any of those brand new. Get an ex demo and save another £5k.
I dunno mate, it was just in the preset modes. I did drive it in full on N mode and it was a bit crashy on bumpy stuff but in normal it was ok. The exhaust was a bit quiet, but I've read they have muted it a bit in the fastback anyway. Revving it it N mode it did pop a fair bit though.
The fastback brought the new suspension to production so test one of those of you can @Rojer . Its funny, either my clio is firmer than I think or I'm a hard bastid because every review I see of the Meg Trophy says thats very firm but I though that and the i30N were fine. I can 100% guarantee...
Gave it a wash and polish ready for cars in the park tomorrow. Clay bar pulled some right crap off of it. Polishing it just shows hod badly scratched and chipped the paint is☹. Looks better from 10 foot away though?
If the cars as bad as the description it'll probably fall apart before it's off his drive. He didn't even have the sense to remove the Clioturbo.con stickers. Muppet.
