you tried placing an advert on pistonheads mate? i sold my car on there (very similar to your car) for £3000 within 5 days about 4 weeks ago. only difference with my car was i had some decent ice, a few mods and aircon.

Ive just upgraded from a 1.2 clio to a ford focus st170 (not a clio 172 i know) but i did a quote on a 172 which came out at exactly the same price of £957 with greenlight insurance.
Thats based on -
1 years ncb
0 crashes
3 yrs driving
aged 21
that looks mint, the gf wud sooooo kill me though lol
the amount of fuel the st170 drinks is untrue, can barely afford food at the min ;) lol £35 is givin me 200miles...and thats bein gentle with her lol
yup, cant even read majority of forums (not even thread titles) so tbh im not sure i wana pay £20 when i cant even get a taster of what i receive, and the main thing id use would be the forums.
like the thinking there, will have to look into it..although ive only just bought the 6006e as my car had a single disk cd player for some reason. lol
thinking about it though im sure ive read somewere that the ford radios arent quite double din which poses problems!
im tempted to go the...
£20 membership fee, which im not prepared to pay yet as there is an st owners club and another focus owners club which allow you to write in forums for free and if you wish to join its no were near £20
Hi,
I'm looking at upgrading my speakers all round in my focus st170 as well as a sub in the boot, all ofcourse amped (prob 6 channel amp), now this is the tricky part, i want to keep the origional 6006e 6 disk headunit as tbh i like the look of it and think aftermarket units look a bit naff in...
did they even do a 1.6 mk1 engine?
a 1.8 valver engine would fit in there, as would a 2.0 williams engine. iirc someone has also put a 1.8turbo audi tt engine in a mk1 before, pretty sure these are good for about 300bhp lol
short answer...no
not alot you can do to a 1.2 without spending a fortune and even then youll be lucky to get anywere near 100bhp especially if the 1.2 is an 8v engine
cant even remember what road i saw you on but i did see you lol
was somewere on my long boring drive from staffordshire to yorkshire. recognised the plate, sure ive seen you on here somewere before
my clio was a 51 plate with cambelt etc changed.
the prob is im an electrician by trade and the clio struggles to fit my tools in tbh so could do with a car with a bigger boot in all honesty
Want a standard car tbh.
i think a noisy exhaust would irritate me when just cruising down a dual carrigeway at 60 or up the motorway.
my clio was lowered, it was ok most the time but teeth shattering on a bad road.
lol car was upforsale for a week or so and got a phone call out of the blue last night asking about the car from my piston heads advert. They came to look today and snapped my hand off.
57k
Looked into the 172...really want something bigger, also would feel like i had the same car all over...
Hi, seen a focus st170 im interested in and it mentions in the ad it has a blueflame full cat back system.
Could someone tell me exactly what this is please? is it just a backbox or full system thats going to give me grief come mot time due to emmisions?
Thanks, russ
Well after 18months of ownership, it was time to move on. Sold my little 1.2 today for a total of £3000 inc ice and half tank petrol which was my asking price.
The question is...what next?
Looked at a 172....but tbh im not sure on another clio...want something bigger i think. So lookin at...
