I can understand the MOT being void, but the road-tax? Is that because a damaged car could have the potential to emit more CO2 than standard??
Sorry for the OP - completely innocent in all of this and now he's got a boat-load of crap to sort. :( I would have thought/hope that that shouldn't be...
That's the thing - they haven't been removed, just moved. Granted, I accept that they have to make progress forward, but for the reasons I mentioned earlier in this thread, Microsoft have had to create a Windows 7.5 rather than a balls-out change to a genuine replacement O/S.
I had a £1.6k...
Just using it on one of directors' new tablet/laptop hybrids that arrived this morning.
For doing non-fluffy stuff, good God its a feckin PITA to use! You simply forget and don't take into account working in IT just how many shortcuts and things you do without thinking. Windows 8 stops you in...
As GiT says - if your works runs and installs a legit and registered Microsoft Office program, you're entitled to a copy of Office as an employee for around £8....

We've done it at work and it proves very popular for staff and their partners wanting...
Yes! I sound like a broken record with this and am probably a bit too obsessive with it - lol. I had mine changed for the first time at 24k and it transformed using the gearbox from feeling like porridge with a spoon sticking out, into something that was much more direct and enjoyable to use.
I...
Love mine. It gets the TLC it needs and has served me really well - including some epic journeys and trips out. The 182 simply ticks so many boxes, that I think it's a cracking little all-rounder.
I also think that there's something quite special about the 2.0litre N/A engine. It's a dying...
Truly epic game from Relic, that. I play Sins of a Solar Empire by Ironclad, just as a close-ish homage to Homeworld. It was so ahead of its time and the music was brilliant. Surely there's enough demand to make Homeworld 3?? :)

Does sound like there's a problem if you have to continue holding down the CC switch? I use mine every day on the motorway without issue, so I'd say your's in broken? :(

It has the 'potential' to be awesome - mopping up all of the failings that dogged the SP driven Skyrim.
Handled correctly, distinct character types and abilities, true 'squad-based' RPG play and range of side-quests away from the core story - would make it perfect.
Make it Skyrim-with-mates...
^^^ - very true and I agree. Qualifications will no doubt help you when/if you're looking at a similar role elsewhere. But experience has a BIG part to play - and that can't always be proven with your name on a flashy certificate. :)
I think that's a key aspect of you being down there m8 - the...
True. As much as I prefer the previous incarnation, I don't think Microsoft had much of a choice in not going ahead with Windows 8 and it's touch-screen bias. Everything is heading that way.
I think one aspect that is bugging Scone is the impact the likes of Win8 has on gaming. ANYTHING other...
Another issue with Windows 8 - it sends my Logitech G15 keyboard into disco-inferno mode!
Accidently catch a key on the keyboard and the whole board lights up and flickers like a b**ch - even though the PC is physically switched off. That issue doesn't happen with Windows 7. Must be some...
Very true! But after 16 years in IT now - I'm getting a little tired (and bored, tbh) of solving an issue or a problem and having to read up on 6 other underlying issues to it, beforehand.
IT (to those who have no knowledge) is a thankless task. Very few non-IT people will turn around and...
I'd recommend that you get a 'little' amount of focus early on - unless you've got a burning desire to head down a specific path already? The trouble is (and I've ended up falling down this path) is that you end up being aware and understanding one hundred+ things, but none of them in any real...
