When and if you purchased your clio, when the dealer says "of course youve got your 3 year warranty (I think he mentioned it was 1 year manufac and 2 years dealer), did they mention you would have to cough up on any repairs in years 2 and 3? Bit naughty that they dont say you have to pay a %...
Huh, are you saying you hate the Air conitioning or that you want it? Doubt it will add much of a premium, but the 182 with cup pack is pushing the money way above the fellas budget. I only mentioned the 182 as something to consider if we wanted the whole shooting match
Most owners of cups seems to be very happy. The only thing SOME wish they had was climate/Ac which i dont know if the pre reg ones have. If yo have the cash, spring for a 182 which we are led to believe is the best of both worlds (Cup speed & 172 toys). Can you find an extra £2-3K?
Whe i test drove the CTR before i plumped for the 172, it was like a ride at alton towers with all the torque steer. Wider tyres and massive power in FWD make it struggle to get grip and its when i finally finds a bit of tarmac it likes just drags you with it. If it were RWD you would get it as...
Do they work that well? People i know reckon by the time the alarm goes off, its to late. Also do you need to rewire the aerial due to the windscreen coating

Pull up the carpet on the passengers side, stick your arm up behind the firewall stuff find a small hole about a foot and a half up dead centre, attach cable to screwdriver/hanger/stiff wire type stuff, poke through hole, stick hand down behind soundproofing in the...
75-83mph got me 43.8mpg back from bath on sunday. Even hammering it i cant seem to get it below 30mpg, but i dont tend to be a loony everywhere or from cold so that maybe why.
I use a karcher to blast the dirt off, then wash with a natch sponge, karcher off the the sudds, then a coat of super resin polish(autoglym) and then 2 coats of extra shine gloss (Also autoglym) if im going for the real glow finish!
I removed the bottle and pulled back the sound proofing. Then carefully pushed a screwdriver through from the cabin with the cable taped to it. Its an utter arse to get your hand up behind the matting in the cabin, but an easy enough job.
Its all a bit childish fighting over 1/2 a second (Which only exists on paper and never in the real world). 172/182 and cups are aimed at different market segments, but perform much the same on the road (Agreed, very different on a track).
woohoo, sensible sub 80mph motorway gets me 44mpg. Clarkson reckons cruise (If fitted) makes the mpg go down, and open window equals 5% reduction in effeciency (SP), so would a huge system. So its a radio, closed window and <78mph if your feeling pickey
If you only need the cup bit, you can have mine. I bought one for my 172 and as it aint a cup, dont need it. Otherwise serach EBAY as thats where i got mine from

Sounds like a Live short somewhere in the system. Take out the HU and make sure nothing is shorting the cage. Can if its a new HU, most have a fuse on the Power lead close to the HU
same as the 172 when you REALLY sail close to the wind on the country road. the fronts really anchor the car and the rear end gets a little light. But it only happens when you really really throw it in with abandon (That in hind sight i would recommend for a trackday).
