Until the day I'm pushing up daisies - I will never understand the need for Hibernation on a PC. To me, the PC is on or it's not. If achievable, would people leave their cars overnight idling at 100rpm, just so they can start in the morning, that bit quicker?
It's a solution to a problem that...
I can genuinely say that the most time I ever spent on a GTA game was the very first one!
That said, there was something slightly weird and yet enjoyable in Vice City when going hell for leather down a road while some radio station played 'Yes' and 'Owner of a Lonely Heart'.

It's a definite niche, m8 - one that the majority of players seem to overlook. Me? I'm happy to jump in any AA vehicle and support our side. If nothing else - it helps keep a good chunk of enemy fly-boys away.

Makes me laugh when people think you're mad for buying a 'polisher' and spending quite a few notes on detailing products. Yet not one person would argue or see fault with your purchases if you did the above to the bonnet of their car!
Good effort. :)

Welcome to my world. ;)
On Battlefield - I'm an out-and-out tank wh0re. What I genuinely like however, is when the opposition is well and truly on the ball with their AT efforts. Some opposition I've come across in previous BF games have been god-like - and it's a great challenge to try and...
About the same time we started to ditch 256k leased-lines at work. From Blackburn head office to Birmingham depot - approx £10.5k per year. ;)
Slow as feck (well, not really for the time) but MASSIVELY reliable. If we had one drop out per circuit per year, that was unusual.

The gauntlet has now been officially laid down m8. If I can finally give in and bow to the temptation - surely you can for an EK9??? ;)
Haha! I must have been like a broken bloody record!!! It's weird - it really is - finally having one here. I remembered I'd left something in my works bag...
Lol! Those were the days! In the current iPhone/Android world, that was on par with sending texts via smoke signals.
Me and a mate got F-16 working on our Amigas using RS232 the same way (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-16_Combat_Pilot) - and just as you say, realising that that other plane...
I bet he punched himself in the balls and head-butted a ball before he got in that thing........ "COME ON!!!!!!!"
Muchos respect right there. Would have definitely whinged at the RR driver afterwards...

No m8 - I took it REALLY easy! Coach Road was like driving on ball-bearings - the cold weather must have crumbled a fair bit of tarmac. No way was I sand-blasting the underneath of the car for that. ;)

With the weather being so nice, I thought it could have it's first pilgrimage.... :)
Oulton itself was shut, but I wanted a blat down Coach Road leading to it. It was always (for some strange reason) - a 'must do' for me if I ever got a VI.

eBay prices of AMG space savers will no doubt now go through the roof. ;)
Could you actually get away with this though? Even at a circuit, the marshalls would likely to throw the book at you, I would have thought? Unless you sign-up for the rally track similar to that at Oulton Park?

Cheers Andy! I certainly intend to! How long that Evo-Fund Pot will last, I don't know - but she's here for now. :)
Yep - I know where Croxdale is - never knew a Cup was so close! Thanks for the comment on the 182 as well - I do try. :)
Thanks Dunn! :)

Stop planting ideas into my head! I had to arse-lick the insurers enough as it was!! ;)
Ah, nice one. The premium went up for me moving back here temporarily by about £50. OL7 postcodes must be more risk than BL9, I guess? Looking into another place for myself will be extra difficult now with...
Jesus - I had all of those bar the TOCA one on the PS1. The Test Drive follow up (The Duel) was the one that kick-started my love for the Porsche 959. To this day, I would buy one of those in a heartbeat if I won big-style on the Lottery!
Buggy Boy was simply epic on the Amiga. It came with...
Hehe! Cheers Ste! It still hasn't sunk in yet - it really hasn't. I walked into the utility room earlier and even before switching on the light, just saw the rear end of the spoiler through the window. So OTT, so ostentatious, it's a definite Marmite car!
Any more interest/luck at the Scoob...
Some may recall reading Calum's thread from late December....

Well, she's finally landed into my mitts.
Everything happened really quickly. Perusing CS one day, I noticed a VI...
