Mate its Capsicum red should be able to find the paint code from Renault, just give them a call.
Or pop down to Halfords the Capsicum red they do is spot on, I bought a chip stick from there and you cant even see where I did the work, also the spray can I bought was perferct as well.
If the steering rack was on its was out you would get a very noticable creaking or stiffing when turing the steering wheel. I had this on an old car and you know straight away when its on its way out.
All of the shocks and springs are ok? Top mounts? Bushes etc.
The only other thing I...
I might be stating the obvious, but have you checked the alignment, even if you have hit a pot hole in the road, this can knock the alignment out ever so slighty.
Also if you have changed the discs on the car make sure that the disc is sitting flat with the hub, if not when you put the wheel...
17years old and dodgy plates, Mate your just asking for the fuzz to pull you over and give the car the once over.
When I first started driving I made dam sure everything on the car was legal.
Put the old plates back on and get on with it. There is a reason why there is a legal restricition...
I really like that, what have you used to make a flat surface tol fit the CAF Funnel onto, it looks like a sheet a Carbon Fibre.
Also how have you fitted this onto the back of the fog lamp surround.
Cheers for the pics
It may be a slighty warped disc, this can make a clicking noise which will be regular and speed up or slow down.
This is a note which we have from EBC, have a read.
5. Intermittent noises from rotors or rotor vibration
If sport rotors are not checked for runout, driving without even...
When I had the brakes apart the other weekend to fit the discs and pads I cant say that I noticed any movement at all, when I put it all back together I made sure that I used plenty of locktite when bolting it all back together.
There are two bolt on the back of the Hub its worth checking...
Right quick questions, I have recently taken the Acoustic Valve out of the car as it seems that alot of mixed information so I thought I would give it a try.
While I was at it I have taken the Fog lamp which has cracked out and have been left with a large unsightly hole. I am not sure wheter...
I would speak to the likes of Mark Fish who can give you pretty much all the advice you need regarding track prepping a road going car.
In terms of Coilovers well its really down to how much you want to spend, I have just set up a friends car with a set of KW V3 fully bump and rebound...
Ha Special Offer, I just bought mine through work at cost, complained about the fit, and Samco sent me another one. Thats the benefit of working in the performance parts and accesories market.
I have one fitted running the standard air box and K&N panel filter, it does make a difference as the internal bore is smooth so allows the flow of air the run faster with less turbulance.
I doubt that there will be any notable gains, but in theroy it should allow the air to flow better so...
I love the dash inserts and steering wheel insert that match the colour of the car.
I am so tempted to sort mine out on the Trophy.
I love the Vee and that colour is one of the best IMO. Cant wait to see the final result.
In all honesty save your money and take a trip over to the ring, you will love it, its the best thing I have ever done, and at least then you can say that you have done it.
TUT TUT TUT Honestly I thought everyone knew this unwritten rule, thats partly the reason the Trophy hasnt got a sticker on it yet, even though I have been round the ring before.
Where abouts do you live, the only reason I ask is that I was driving through Dartford the other weekend up near the Coca Cola distribution Centre, and while driving down one of the back roads saw a Trophy on a drive way. Was half temted to jump out a put a Clio Trophy Card through the letter...
Surely it depends on how the car is driven. My thoughts would be that the 4wd car would have to have all 4 tires replaced at the same time where as the 2wd and I am guessing its a FWD, would only need the fronts replacing.
My 182 is on 21k and I still have around 2k left on the front tires...
PMSL Nik I know exactally how you feel, I have done it so many times, I am normally really carefull but when your not thinking thats when it gets you.
You can always pin point a guy that drives a Trophy, they have constant lump on the top of there head.
Nigel If only that was the case, LOL
The 197 has really grown on me over the past few months, I think that it has got to be one of the best looking Hot Hatchs out there. At least all of the vents are there for a reason, unlike the VXR.
Thing is I love my Trophy to much and couldn't think about chopping it in for a 197. After...
I really like the look of the mirrors, but a Clart said you will need to be looking in the mirrors all the time,
Best thing to do is have a mate sat with you for the first few laps so you can concentrate on the track and your mate checks for others around you. Worked a treat for me when I went.
Not the brightest of ideas as there will be uncovered wiring, the best thing you can do is heat the lense up with a hair dryer until the gleu is tacky and carfully prize the two apart.
When you refit them use a high quality sealant and adhesives such as TigerSeal or Sikaflex.
TBH my impression of the Fiesta ST 150 was that it was pretty nippy, until this weekend.
I had a tuned ST up my arse on a Duel Carigway on Saturaday afternoon, i let it come past me only to see that it had a load of stickers all on the side of the car, such a Jenvy, Omex and Miltek, It sounded...
I tend to find mine make a horibal sound on certain surfaces, but I have put this down to the tread pattern and the fact that they have stiffer walls.
I have upped the pressure on the front to 34 and the rear to 31/2 just becuase I prefer the way the car drives, I have had no side effects and...
ADY You have done such a good job on your Trophy, but I think you still need a bit more practice.
I have a lovely dirty Trophy for you to practice on LOL
Yeah mate they are available but will take 5weeks as they are made to order.
I can get them through work they cost around £62.12. I have been temted to get one for the Trophy as it comes with the breather pipe already attached, and saves getting a piece of straight Samco for the breather...
The best you can do is get a diplay module for the headunit, and all that will do is show an Alpine logo that is it. Bloody expensive in my opion and I wont really bother.
The steering wheel controls are the best purchase I had one fitted for my Sony H/U in my old clio cost about £35. To fit...
