they have no mechanical locking to the end of the cams or crank, ie if the bolt/nut is loosened off the pullies are free to spin without the crank or cams rotating

0W40 isn't thinner, its the same vicosicty at 100degC as 5W40, its only "thinner" at 0degC

the cup racers did ok on the stock calipers, seriously try the PF97 pads, you won't believe the performance

for a decent TIG machine, look at Lincon electric, they're the best IMO, about £2.5K for a portable invertertec does upto 200 amps AC/DC i learnt at motorsport college, to learn you should start off learning gas welding first, then you progress up through all the different types, prep etc etc...
