    Performance 65mm throttle body

Surely after the ecu has adjusted to the new TB, it'll be the same as using the standard one?

V6 Induction kit, acoustic valve, oil breather question

Yeah you can do, I just hated having to clean all the oil residue gunk off the throttle body a few times a year, now I only clean it once a year.

V6 Induction kit, acoustic valve, oil breather question

It's behind the passenger headlight and the wheel arch liner has to come off to get at it. No real downsides apart from it being an arse to remove for no real gain, removing the air feed at the valve is all you really need to do.

V6 Induction kit, acoustic valve, oil breather question

I'm afraid not mate, I would take one for you right now but my DSLR is broken. :dapprove: I'll see if I can find a pic the same setup in the 'Engine Bay' thread.

V6 Induction kit, acoustic valve, oil breather question

I've got the JMS V6 setup and the kit originally came with a small length of pipe and a Pipercorss oil breather. They're about a fiver, just take the breather pipe off the original elbow and shove a oil breather on the end, you can cut it to a shorter length if you want, as for the acoustic...

    engine knock 172 phase 2

That's the thing about these cars mate, they may be cheap to buy but they're not cheap to run, and if you don't keep on top of servicing and belts etc, they f*ck up quickly.

    engine knock 172 phase 2

That's a different knock all together, plus he said it only happens when he boots it and changes gear, i've had both knocks on mine and the top mount knock happens every time you pull away, brake and turn, even at slow speeds. Whereas the dogbone knock is more pronounced under hard acceleration...

    engine knock 172 phase 2

An hours labour I reckon, so about £50/£60 quid, they'll have to cut out the old bushes and press in the new ones. As for the whine, it's hard to tell without a video of the noise. Where in the country are you?

    engine knock 172 phase 2

It usually a symptom of a worn engine or gearbox mount, usually the (lower) dogbone mount, most of us upgrade the dogbone bushes to powerflex ones, as this normally stops the knocking. It's not serious or expensive, but it's best to do it sooner rather than later.
