Again I would use a different towel for each product. To be honest I would be of to Halfords to get some applicators in the morning before starting the job tbh.

Watering can will do fine.
I would not use a pad for different products without washing it first. You can always use a folded microfiber to apply other wise but will not be as easy as a hand pad.
Dont scrub with the mitt just after rinsing with water. Pre rinse the car, then wash using the two bucket method. Anything stubborn left over go back over again.
Application wise I would have used foam applicators for all the products listed.
As said the 306 loves to LOO and is very progressive and fun, standard v standard I can only compare a GTi6 to to a 182 but the Clio feels much more sure footed. With the 306 there always seemed to be to much body movement. The 306 is proably more fun.
I had a 306 XSi 16V which the same...
Anything left sat on there as an excess will streak and run. The above products all only seem to mask any stains, other cleaners are best to try and clean the white marks marks of before dressing.
