Sounds like the fuel pump is away then.
The fuel pump not feeding petrol so would choke your engine, as it would be running on "fresh air" really.
Would cause smoke from the exhaust as the oil is being burnt off.
Performance would be effected quite badly as no fuel = no go.
Tuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Doubt the 172 has one. Haha.
Anyway, could be a hose for the air intake is off slightly or has a hole in it. Causing a sucking noise.
I would bleed the whole system and top the fluid up as you go along. Its the only answer as if you have changed pads, you should really bleed the system after to make sure no air is in the system now.
Also make sure you bleed the system correctly, not just wheel after wheel, there is a specific...
Ruffstuff had a problem like this on the last Scottish Road trip, they bled the brakes a week prior to the event as he fitted new lines and brakes.
Turns out that there was air in the system even though the brakes had been bled properly on the first occation.

Ive been a customer of Orange for 4 years on a contract. Not had one problem with service, just when i need a new phone in warranty quick call, wait for ages and talk to someone, then phone is replaced the next day. Cant fault that.
Orange Unlimited texts for me, cant complain, i get it a lot...
The O/S will always have more weight due to the driver. Could be once source why it goes more.
Roundabouts, car is leaning into the roundabout so pressure is on the O/S most of the time. Another source maybe.
Camber of the road, could be another source.
Strathycruise, lovely.
Tollan, what are the details of the car?
ClioSport is a club for clios, (although most of the people who turn up to the meets, have moved onto better cars for their lifestyles). No one really would slate a car on here, it happens, but only to a select few. Mostly because...
Brembo, you could do it yourself on your drive way. Just jack the car up and support the front with axel stands.
Socket and a spanner on the bolts, take the cat off, then replace it, its a swap out and straight swap job.
I used a radiator from ECP before, cant fault it, fitted straight in with no problems at all.
Recommend them alot now because ive nearly replaced everything that moves from them.
