Do those springs fit without any rear adjustment platforms? My kw v2's do not lower the rear at all (fully stripped car)..
I could do with something around 40mm lower and a little stiffer!!
I suppose the question would be.... What is your budget?
You will be looking around £1000 for fitment of cams/belt change I imagine?
Inlet work £200'ish?
Remap £250 - £300?
They did it the proper way.... ;)
IIRC the original job was done with filler, they let him keep the "remains" of it as a memento haha, rusty filler FTL!!
When cold there is an almost constant squeaking/chirping noise from that area... once warm it calms down a little!! :dead:
Also when the clutch is pressed down, sounds like stones going through a blender meeeh..
I am going to be changing the clutch soon, so if there is an uprated item I would prefer to fit that!
As the standard ones fail after driving approx. 5cm....
I miss mine.... Will defiantly own another one again!!
It did not help Coops coming down is his Williams this evening :( and saying he is selling it LOL!
Parked next to my 172, the MK1's just have so much more character *sigh*
Re: PH1 172 Track Car, abit special *ITB update*
You make it look so easy ;) haha
Did you drill new holes in the horizontal frames, or do they bolt in existing ones?!
You will need all the associated "cup" brackets and a cup alternator, if you wish to lose the aircon
Cams are a good idea at cambelt time, but you are looking at £700 for a set of catcams iirc?!
Oh yeah I know where you mean, just down the road from the guys I use.. Alfreton Auto Sprays!
You will have to pop in for a cuppa when you pick it up ;)
