It actually is true, a healthy standard jp4 16v engine in the VTS/GTi will happily stick to the back of any standard 1*2 all day. Unlike the Clio's the 16v unit tend to make their quoted power. My old GTi made 133bhp and our old VTS made 141bhp. Both standard.

It will tend to knock when the car is being revved hard, powerflex replacement bushes are around £30-£35. From memory you need a 17 & 19mm socket.

It won't be broken it'll be worn more than likely. It connects from the chassis to the gearbox. Its located at the back of the sump tray.
