If the roof is creased is the usual write off point from memory. Floors etc can be pulled or replaced as can quarters etc.

I can see why people are nervous about shelling out £7k to a stranger on a 30k mile car with no warranty, poor reliability record, terrible dealer support and it being the type of car that is abused. If it was a 1.6 Golf people would take the risk.... Golfs are not what they used to be...
