    Clicking on startup 182

Mines been doing this for a couple of weeks now, I took it to a Renaut specialists but they coudn't find anything wrong on diognostics, they checked battery earth, starter motor, crank sensor, engine fuses, relays, but they're all fine. I'm leaving it with them over night this week because it...

First of the regular West Midlands meets.

It was an alright pub tbh, it's certainly big enough to allow everyone to sit together, even if the meets get bigger & start to grow in popularity. If we could have the meets on the second Monday of each month then we'll miss Tuesday & Thursday quiz night, and we won't have to put up with...

Idiots guide to fitting skoda splitter?

What happens when it gets all scuffed up and you need a new one? Pot rivets aren't easy to remove iirc.

    Skoda splitter fitted!!

I love these splitters, once I put mine on it looked like it should have always been there, now any 1*2 doesn't look right to me if it hasn't got one.

My new A3 :) yey (lots of photos)

My 172 doesn't look as good as your rep, I wish mine was that colour. Hope you enjoy the Audi, everyone should own a nice VAG at least once, I still miss mine a bit, proper comfy on a long motorway journey.

    Rear diamond - MK2 PH2 172

It's bonded/glued on, you have to remove the whole section around the boot lock by scraping the glue off from the inside. I'm in the middle of spraying my badges & bullets, i've done the 'Clio' & the front diamond, but for the rear i'm buying a new one from renparts then replacing it...

Idiots guide to fitting skoda splitter?

Yeah you can just go at it without any, but I just found easier to screw them in if I had pilot holes to begin with, it just meant I didn't have to screw through the splitter first to get to the bumper. I did want to drill pilot holes in the bumper aswell, but I couldn't get the car high enough...

Idiots guide to fitting skoda splitter?

Neither did I, but it will sit flatter when screwing in if you do.

Idiots guide to fitting skoda splitter?

Cut the little raised tabs off the ends, drill or poke some pilot holes in the splitter for the self tappers, jack the car up, start in the middle with the first screw, then work your way to the edges, cut excess off with a stanley knife or razor blade. Done.

That's quite nice, do the head gaskets go on those like ever other Rover, or are they a bit more reliable?

    Poxy clio

I changed mine in about 20mins and I had no clue what I was doing, wiring a plug is harder tbh. ;)
  23. DaveDreads

    Poxy clio

A garage will just do a visual check, if there are no leaks then they'll assume they're fine. They'd have to remove them and check the compression and rebound to realise they're fecked.
  24. DaveDreads

    Poxy clio

They can still be knackered without them leaking, Does the back feel like it's bouncing around on rough roads? Does the back end step out even at slow speeds when you show it a corner? If the answer is yes to one or both of these, then it's the shocks....we've all been there mate.
  25. DaveDreads

    Poxy clio

Rear shocks need replacing, mine were fecked when I got my car and the rear was all over the shop, even in a straight line.
  26. DaveDreads

    Poxy clio

Hit a bump on the motorway and it's felt weird ever since, alignment knocked out + mismatched tyres = feeling weird imo. If you've lost a weight off one of the wheels, you'd feel juddering/vibration through the steering wheel.

    Poxy clio

Quoting yourself is the first sign of madness iirc.
  28. DaveDreads

    Poxy clio

Most definitely, different front and back is fine....side to side isn't.

    Poxy clio

    That's what's wrong with it.
