I think you'd be mad to take it to Renault in any case, even if it was £400 all in inc the water pump. There are that many specialists you'd kick yourself if and when it fails if Renault do it.

Having had two Phase 1's and now a Cup i'd still say Phase 1. Cup looks pretty and probably weighs less but the phase 1 is the better drive, the throttle cable and 15" wheels make it brilliant to drive. I'll have another Phase 1 but i'll be keeping the Cup aswell!

Snip the cambelt and demand for a full refund. Also, s**t in the glove box, maybe nip it half way through and finish in the spare wheel well.
